So you were the fat kid who got picked on in school, harden up and put down that chocolate bar if you wanna do something about it.

I got picked on in highschool, and it kinda sucked but I sucked it up and buffed up then had my sweet revenge. People who get sensitive OOC about things IC like that really annoy me. The game permeates of racism and i don't hear bitching about that, so why sexism or fatism?

Because the people playing the game aren't really tae'dae or merian, but overweight people do really play. If someone called my character the N-word in game because of her dark skin I'd be offended.

If someone called ialie a nigger because of her dark skin it would be terribly ooc.

That's the point of it being a different world. It's about separation IC from OOC. And before anyone goes making assumptions i'm myself a little overweight at the moment (need to hit the gym again, i've been lazy and going through the depression stage of bipolar lately).

Should i be offering can's of diet-harden up? I'll add in the nurtasweet artificial sweetenr that'll keep you thin but give you brain cancer woo

I know who Kissos' alt is I don't think this is remotely funny. All I see is Mederrach attacking him a few times and Kissos just going along with the insults. We have a Roleplaying subforum for things like this.



Clearly this is a great separation of IC/OOC considering Mederrach is only doing this because he knows who Kissos' alt is. Essentially all the insults and attacks were derived from this single fact, if it wasn't for that none of this would even have happened. Unless Magnagora routinely allow its members to attack and publically make fun of newbies and younger members.

Question.. how often do you find fully adult government officials, high ranking soldiers, and scholars and such sitting around the Lincoln Memorial poking fun at the fat new senator who just joined the crew? Not very often.

This is not an example of IC/OOC seperation--this is an example of OOC immaturity leaking into the game and directed towards OOC friends.

It wasn't funny, and it was pretty damn pathetic, over all.

It was a bunch of mags picking on a novice, while i wasn't involved i generally only pick of novices if they ask for it while i'm in a bad mood, or it's an ooc friend who we all beat on.

Sorry Murphy, if people are going to post on a public forum, then expect replies. If someone is going to post a log claiming RP at its finest then it should display some contents of such. In this situation, however, all the supposed 'RP' were derived from the simple fact that Kissos is someone's alt that Mederrach knows of. I'm sorry, but I don't see how using OOC information to harass and ridicule someone else is RP, even if it was agreed by all parties.


If that's all, then Mederrach shouldn't had use the guise of RP to justify his actions.

P.S.- I have as much rights as Mederrach or you to post things that are on topic on this Forums. If you don't feel like reading then you could take your own advices.

Neither of those bolded statements make it "RP" which is what this thread title says it is.

Picking on OOC friends in THE CENTER OF MAGNAGORA is not RP. Its a total nutshot to the game's quality.

How about this, rather than 95% of the Lusternia population leaving, why don't you and your much smaller gang of can-crunching, box-smashing, pre-pubescant cronies go back to WoW. Your sort of "RP" will be much more appreciated there.

In my opinion, as long as Kissos or whomever else's player doesn't mind such a treatment (and such things can be consulted OOCly before - oh noes! OOC!), it's perfectly fine to do this. The log wasn't funny, but it was a good piece of RP. We all know Mederrach is a sadist ICly, and he can (and should!) get away with such things in Magnagora, because of his position.

Few facts:
1. I'm not pre-pubescent. Funny you would try to use that to get at someone.

2. I don't care about your feelings, or what you like or don't like or consider grandstanding, nor do i give that level of care to anyone else minus maybe one or two people

3. If you're going to complain so hardcore about some fun in Magnagora with someone who was willing to accept the abuse, then you really are a sissy.

4. Any reference to WOW in an attempt at an insult (which you failed poorly at) or a dig at me, just shows your utter lack of intelligence. Do you really think that hurts nancy-boy?

Here's a tip, find the 'ignore user' function and apply it to me. It might save you just one of those many long nights you cry yourself to sleep.

Mederrach didn't just spur-of-the-moment decide to become mean or sadistic. He's always been like that. He's tortured merians at the Megalith, and even tortured Lexie (with her agreement, of course). We've all had fun times.

If this sort of RP does not appeal to you, then just hit the X button as Murphy said. Different strokes for different folks.

Haha, excellent. You all need to be less ****ing sensitive - this is RP as much as your racism and crap is. I'm on the pudgy side IRL as well, maybe Murphy can drag me to the gym with him some day.

It makes perfect sense for Magnagorans to take the piss out of or even outright physically abuse people that are unable or unwilling to help the Empire. (Hell I remember beating up Gaetele for being merian on Kymir.) I don't see why people get so uptight at this kind of RP, particularly in a situation like this where the abused actually played along with it.

I think any conversation revolving around somebody's looks in an all TEXT game is quite good RP if you ask me...

Surprised nobody walked in and said... "fat who's fat? what font are you using? just change your description and you won't be fat anymore"

I know Kissos and I found this amusing because Kissos's would have done the same thing to Med.. I wouldn't have taken part in this one though, since I lean toward psychosis more than outright sadism. But all in all Medd could have used more than backhands etc. It did totally fit into Med's character tho.... evil little nephew I have.

Its perfectly acceptable if its done in a mature way. In this log though, it was just a bunch of grade school bullies. There's nothing "RP at its finest" in that log, unless Magnagora breeds a bunch of grade school bullies rather that arrogant nobility.

That really was hilarious. I laughed the whole way through. As for the people that were offended, lighten up, its just a game
