Thanks a heap for the images, this is what the system now looks like

I was going to do a different picture based on if you were a wiccan, guardian, warrior, mage etc.
I have been inspired.

Yeh i'm currently coding in the pictures to change depending on organisation
Morvior2006-06-22 14:47:27
No problem. Glad a newbie could help out.
Unknown2006-06-22 19:22:34
Nice. Keep trying and it might be a third as good as mine.
And for anyone who was wondering - no, he didn't ask permission to use my body image, which looks stupid without deepwound values at the end of the lines. Or my rapier image, which is quite painfully cropped there.
I suppose.. if you want something professional, you just have to pay the price. 300cr.

Too left for me, after using my system which has equal right and left panels. :S
Laysus2006-06-22 21:46:46
It'd be an interesting comparison to see how many units Amaru's system has sold compared to Murphy's.
Sylphas2006-06-22 23:22:49
Pretty. I couldn't use it though, I loathe GUIs like that.

Yeah, and then especially interesting if you figured in:
- That Murphy promises to give updates and support to all of his customers for the rest of their lives, which is not only false, but surely a weight on his time
- How much actual revenue my system has generated compared to Murphy's
I think you'd find that #2 is about equal, and that #1 makes Murphy's selling tactic pretty poor and I imagine, stressful.
Murphy2006-06-23 10:16:28
No, i promise updates as long as i'm making them. I generally update all the time, ask around people have had a good number of updates, and i generally endeavor to have updates done as soon as new changes come out.
And Amaru the rapier i actually go off thorgal's system i believe. The body scan is there temporarily until i redo it, which i'm planning on this week. Don't be such a sour puss. I never rubbish you or your system, so why would you sit there and try to rubbish mine.

I had no problem getting the update for the recent melancholic change that same day, and Murphy was quick to send it out. I don't think it takes that much out of his day, since his system is easily modified for new curing changes.
The support is actually one of the best parts - Murphy is seemingly always around to answer questions. Just this minute, he helped me fix a little mob-specific issue for an aetherbubble.
I've only had it for around two weeks now, but it's working great. One of the best 100cr investments I've made.

Only disadvantage of those systems I have found is that when you have the mapper open, it tends to block off stuff you wanna see. With the all left design that Thorgal/Murphy uses, you generally have enough room on the right hand side to have a decent sized map open as well.

I'm (almost) as nublet as it gets with systems, and Murphy's always been a help. His support is no joke. Updates are fairly regular. No complaints.

You don't understand that he has to do the updates for himself ANYWAYS, and emailing them to his customers who are all on an email list is hardly a weight on anybody's time.
Ildaudid2006-06-24 00:14:35
Yeah I get updates from him.... Now Murphy send me one without the granny thing and without the compass so I can get to using it. Those two pics alone scared me into still using the older version
Murphy2006-06-24 05:49:55
Ok for all of you here's a final system image.
Love it

Too much wasted space.
Murphy2006-06-25 01:17:09
for you maybe, I have had the majority of my customers really like this interface, and it's always had the same dimentrions as thorgal's origical interface.
I personally think it's perfection on a stick

Glad you're 'fucking stoked', Murph.
I thought your idea of perfection on a stick was y- I'm done.
