Yeah...some people don't like the La'Saet line...since it has people like Amaru, Malicia and Thoros. I, personally, don't care about them cuz I don't know 'em.

Who is 'her'? Daxera? If so, that made no sense. I'm not insulting Malicia's RP, either, I'm just insulting Malicia. Don't know her RP. As for Daxera and I, I'll just say I could dredge up a solid 20 pages of explanation for that.

I think Divine taking any action at all in zapping a player is just wrong. They are there to manipulate, coerce, and encourage their followers to take action on their behalf, not take action themselves. From an IC perspective, mortal bickerings should be of no concern to them. From an OC perspective, it's abusive for a divine to kill anyone. Even disfavours seem a bit questionable. I had envisioned disfavours as actions used against members of one's own followers as methods of keeping them in line, not against the opposition.

In this specific situation, I think it should've gone down with Malicia getting a high disfavour or something similar from Terentia, and then Terentia promising truefavours to those who take down Ixion.

Don't take cheap blows at people. That's how you get OOC and IC hate in the game


Terentia and all the Gods are like Fain, except Fain accepts he's evil. Gods are there to play with you and use you as chess peices. Except Estarra, who is cool.

That's the reason I don't like religion that much in an OOC way.

And yes, Zapping and disfavours are not good sometimes, but you also have to concider that they are Gods. And they can get angry. And you are a bug. They should have the ability to squash you as they wish.

So much flaming, Malicia is banned from the Forums (was?) so she can't post anyway. There's no need for all these personal attacks, if you hate the characters in game then go and taunt them there, there is absolutely no need to carry it to the Forums.

Terenas and Ixion are correct. This thread does not need flaming of anyone for any reason. Ixion had some RP that he seems to have liked, despite being zapped, but that is all part and parcel of playing with the Divine.

I am glad to see he took his lumps and can laugh about it.

Now let's all be happy and stop flaming people who a: can't defend themselves and B: shouldn't have to defend themselves.

Seriously though, Malicia is a great person. Kudos to Ixion in particular, as well as Mali for upholding her personal morals, and to Terentia for some perhaps excessive RP.

Fain on the other hand... might be kickass in some peoples' opinions, but his actions were pretty asinine. There may be a bit of retaliation involved for Ixion's zapping, but Malicia is not the proper target. He either should have gotten his underlings to attack Terentians/Shrines, or gotten into the argument himself THEN done something.

As it stands, he zapped without any warning, or provocation or insult from Malicia (perhaps he even should have been congratulating her on her character and her bravery in defying Terentia's dishonorable wishes). I'm rarely around when Fain RP's, but I hope it doesn't always just consist of zapping the nearest lighty when things get heated.

Revan to everyone but his cloest friends and allies, whom he has gained complete trust in, will not see his true self, and I know many many people who will laugh at the notion that I'm anywhere near as annoying as Mitch. Revan is amusing. I have to give him that. He can be a cocky ass (no offense ) at time but can also be pretty generous. He enchanted 6 cubes for me free of charge the day cubes and kegs were introduced.

I like what happened there, although the zap does seem a kinda poor way to go about it. I would've thought that there'd be more Terentia pissed off at Malicia than Terentia pissed off at Ixion. But a nice log in general.

And as for the athana/malicia comparison - Malicia is actually a really nice person, just Amaru seems to be a bad influence on her (there's always a noticable change for the good in her personality when he's not around).

Plus, y'think by now Athana woulda learned about being careful the shady stuff.

Actually, I like when gods intervene. And maybe Estarra's got the "Big Momma" thing down here, but I like it when they don't just ignore you.

Impressed me so much I knew when she got her own MUD I'd be here.

And Tully doesn't ever talk back to gods based on a few encounters he's had. Such beings deserve at least a grudging respect.
