What a mess. Any of you who think this unlike Malicia is probably right... it's most unlike her.
Malicia tells you, "I couldn't let him keep it.. It was a gift from you."
Which makes it quite a sad event from my perspective. What was stupidly called 'greed' was actually selflessness, and what makes it so tragic is that the same selflessness made a woman who'd never ordinarily beg for anything, beg in that way with someone she hates. She was willing to suffer like that to spare my feelings. Greed? Greed has nothing to do with it.
The kind of woman she is, F - Y -I, is the kind of woman honourable enough that if the positions were reversed, she would have returned the weapon. As I have in the past (Murphy).
I think it's a display of the sense of inferiority that Ixion's character or player feels that he has to take such advantage in a situation like that.
Ugly human nature at its worst. Shame on anyone who criticises her.

Like when people offer to stop hunting you and making you pray repetedly for 1 million gold right?

Yes, it's obviously very unintelligent and rooted in a psychological complex when a leader of one army decides he won't give a leader of an opposing army a weapon back for free.

Lmao check it out, it's the hate brigade. *sniff sniff* I smell fear.

Calm down, Ernie.
We all know you have a big nose and thus a heightened sense of scent, but your argumentatin' skills could use some touching up.

Edit: nevermind.
Ixion2006-06-23 09:19:49
And... Maybe you both should read my post, then Terenas's post, then Charune's post. Then, try to regain any dignity or civility either of you have left and post something worthy of reading. You know, something that actually relates to the thread itself.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Actually Ixion, your stating that you have no 'opinion' on the issue is absurd.. the title of the thread is demeaning of Malicia even before the first post. What could be more relevant to the thread than its own title?
Edit: And looking back at your post, I assure readers that she doesn't 'see eye to eye' with you in the slightest. The entire episode has made her hate you twice as much, if that's possible.

In Celest, we call that honour.

Aw, c'mon, don't take the moral high-ground.

I for one -always- return weapons.
The log didn't show me asking ixion for the weapon so i could personally return it to her as a favour.
Malicia is generally honourable, but as we all do, she's prone to lapses as is everyone else.

I might be wrong here, but I assumed the title of the thread was in reference in Ixion, and not Malicia - essentially showing Ixion's application of Fain's teachings?
QUOTE
Hatred, greed, and love of conflict are the aspects of Fain. and He will often perform traitorous acts and subterfuge on others in order to achieve His own personal goals.
I dunno, seems to make sense to me...
Sylphas2006-06-23 14:43:18
But that would mean Amaru is jumping to conclusions and is wrong, which we all know never happens.

Not everyone lives in Celest.
Sylphas2006-06-23 17:24:14
You forgot the ", thank the gods." on the end of that, Hazar.
