Why the hell do we even need this, again?

It would only be useful if there was an ability to bind and drag your target around. Though I suppose a Nihilist could do roughly that.. lust and empress once their unconscious.

I hope you've slept well, for now you shall die. Prepare to meet iron skillet!
I'd brawl you Ildaudid. Yar!
Prepare to brawl
-throws up a triad triangle- 3 Mag Triads appear
-moving his hands into a strange symbol spelling blood- 3 Mag Bloods appear
-making the gesture of a pitchfork and a C interlocking to form an 8 with both hands- 3 Mag Crips and 3 Mag Folk appear
Being king of the sewers has it's benifits, now just to keep them from killing each other.

Good luck with that.
I'd have stuck with the triads.

Jasper, just go spar in the arena and lose?
That's abuse, but you can spar in the arena UNTIL you lose

Then don't do it. I've never run into the problem of running out of endurance/willpower myself, for those wondering.

Why? To drag them into guards? To grief them and keep them from moving for a few hours? Just kill them outright if you're able to bind them in such a way.

Well, I'm a silly player of a vast array of games, where theft isn't considered "girefing", and usually that sort of stuff held by theives, burglars, assassins, and kidnappers.
And this is in games where when you die, all of your equipment stays with your corpse, and everything is fair game... that was my introduction to mudding.. so IRE player's cries of "griefing" just make me chuckle, considering i've killed and looted characters in other games who were wearing full suits of Unique items (meaning there are only 1-3 of them in the entire game).
So I guess my view is just skewed and totally off for an IRE-universe where the players are babied to no ends

Maybe we could just have a switch at the end, you don't really need to do damage if you just want to let someone know they've annoyed you.
So point cudgel noobie warning
The end of your cudgel forms a knotty burl and you point it at Noobie. The burl pops and ruptures, shooting a barrage of splinters just beside his head one just nicking his earlobe.
Probably sending something like that
This is the only thing I'd like to see because it would be funny(yes dreamweavers and mages could do it but it's not the same, and emotes don't have the same feeling), duels and all of that can be conducted in the arena as that's actually what they are there for.
btw it'd just be some skills, like the attacks, maybe a demesne effect. Just a forced miss, so we can show people exactly how annoyed we are.

I don't want to miss.
Shamarah2006-06-23 10:48:26
I never actually played Armageddon but I noticed a "mercy" function on there at one point - this will stop you from actually a person. Maybe we could do something like that, letting you reduce them to 1 health but not kill?

But if a level 5 newbie is really pissing me off, Moonburst will kill them, and hexing him is just cruel.

If a level 5 newbie is really pissing you off, you shouldn't be worried about being cruel.
But maybe you're just way more patient than I am.
