I was going to buy the max per alt and I thought the mentor/protege credit bonus had a limit. I guess I can stick to one. Anyways, I will e-mail support later, thanks for yer responses.
It does have a limit, and the limit is 150 credits given to the mentor I believe. That means, 1,000 credits bought.
EDIT: ed because I forgot to hit submit
Ildaudid2006-06-24 03:36:12
It is more than that.

Er... what, Blastron? The buyer loses no credits in the transaction. You make an alt, get it mentored, but the credits, transfer them to your main... bam, you've got all your credits and your friend has some at no charge.

In return for taking on the responsibilities of a mentor, you will gain 15% of the first four credit purchases your protege makes, up to 1000 total credits.
I always thought that meant the mentor got up to 1000 credits.

Behold, the wonders of parantheses! If you happen to know English grammar well, "up to 1000 total credits" is modifying "the first four credit purchases" and not "15%"
Gods, I hate my life
EDIT: Ugh, the above came out wrong, so has been editted. I have been studying english grammar for a while for my thesis, and it's really grating on me :dies: I actually read that the same way as you did, Soll, until I had a protege with too much spare money on her hands

OOCly purchased credits can be transferred in any manner that you desire, including to your alts.

If you're going to play the alt, I see no problem with it. If you're not, I see it as gaming the system, which feels wrong, whether or not it's illegal.

I'm guessing Blastron means because larger bundles cost less per credit, technically if you buy 5 x 100 credit bundle you actually spend more than buying a 500 credit bundle but you can spread the cost over time... unless you can actually save money
