Well, my weekend sucks insofar as the phone company decided to cut my service this weekend instead of next weekend when I'm actually moving. This limits what I can do to whatever is possible from an internet cafe.
Anyway, I was thinking about having an artifact auction. Though it probably won't happen this weekend, let's open up a discussion on what special artifacts you might want to see auctioned if we can set one up.

Invisibility Cloak. Yesod always seems to cut out when I don't want it to.
Unknown2006-06-24 21:11:41
It'd be nice to have a rune that gives a state of invisibility that ThirdEye can't detect.

Ehhhh. That'd be really obnoxious. Not sure I like that.

Ever thought that some people might not want to be seen?
I've always hated hiding/invisibility in Lusternia, because it all its good for is masking entrance/exit..and that's just not nearly where any of the fun is.

Spore-like getaway device!
Veonira2006-06-24 21:49:01
A seam ripper artifact for a tailor so they can take apart clothing and get a small bit of comms back.
Hey, I can dream right?

Something similar to the Brooch of the Tempest, but for water. Damn waves are so annoying - could be boots, but I'd prefer something other than footwear (Already have my pair of sandals )

Be a dreamweaver.
Make it something decently cool, and cheap enough that if I really want to, I can win it with an escrow of my brooch/pipes/specs. -hope-

An artifact credit. You can sell it, buy artifacts with it, or convert it as many times as you want.
Mederrach2006-06-24 21:57:42
An artifact that disables prisms and cubixes within a radius! Can be switched on/off.

Guardian Eye (Spam Generator): Allows one to see when someone steps on or off the same plane as you.
Arcane Placard (Mobile Billboard): Can have its dropped appearance changed in form "An arcane placard here reads: blah blah blah." Appears just after the room description in LOOK, and appears bright red, green, or some obnoxious combination of colors. May only be moved by the owner or Divine.
Fragment of X (Perpetual Karma Blessing): Gives the owner a permanent blessing of any seal. Never mind where the artifacts actually come from... or any long-term effects.
Wand of Silence (Argument-Winning Tool): When pointed, invokes silence as per the Divine punishment, on a victim. May only be used on one target at once, lasts five minutes, and counts as an aggressive action. However, works through Divine Grace.

MAZE WAND.
Traps a victim in a small maze in a pocket dimension, generated at random using the Rapture mapping function. Treat as a aetherbubble for the purposes of communication or teleport. (In other words, trapped until they escape). Put a time limit on it so they don't get abused.
ANIMATED WEAPON RUNE.
Put this on a weapon, staff, or talisman. This will animate the weapon and allow it to attack independently of your own actions.
CLOUD BOTTLE.
Creates a cloud or fog or smoke that will eventually fill an area, obscuring things unless you have weathersight. This will also disable moonbeam.
PLANAR CHEST RUNE.
Can be placed on an artisan-created chest. The owner can do the following.
-- Teleports the Chest to the same room a player is in. This way, stuff can be sent to the player if needed. Will work anywhere in the cosmos, including aetherbubbles.
-- Can recall chest to your presence.
SAMPO
This artifact can create an amount of commodites once/month, per the player's request. This can be anything that's purchaseable as a commodity. Maybe require it to be ground from gold pieces or something like that.

Sorry, posting again..
Something like the Earrings of Sinope in Achaea. You buy a pair and give one to someone else, then you can instantly summon them from anywhere on the same continent/plane.
Also, artifact keyrings. Only the owner can attach their keys to it, or detach. And make them stop keys from decaying, maybe?

Monocle of some sort: Makes observe and glance not cost equilibrium.
An artifact that grants the farscout ability.
Custom cubix/prism: I.E. takes you to your own PRIVATE cubix/prism room, and you choose the exits (within reason).
Just off the top of my head.

Uh. Is 2000 credits for the regular one not enough? What would this sort cost?
Edit: Transplanar chest rune needs to make it sprout lots and lots of little legs and run off.

Orb of Impurity: When pointed at a target it strips them of their divine grace. Doesn't work on the Prime Material plane.
Bracelet of Faith: When you slay a member of a divine order, your patron automatically gains essence equal to what their patron lost as a result of the death. Also double the essence generated through offering player corpses.

It's been done in Imperian. And it's highest bidder, because you know... it's an auction. Though I think they did the equivalent of prism only, not a cubix. It'd be a big ticket item, I'd say a cubix version would go for 2500-4000 credits, and a Prism version going for 1000-1500.
