Actually, IIRC, there was one player in Achaea who is blind IRL, and even he did OK against Bards.
True, there is, now that I think about it. I hadn't ever thought of his bard-fighting capabilities, though.

I played a bard in Achaea, and it was near impossible to defeat me. It was near impossible for me to defeat anyone who was top tier too though. Bards in Achaea have amazing defense, but not so great offense. I do have to admit though that I did put the sleep lock on many a dragon and top tier fighter once or twice. Though once the trick was known, it was hard to get it to work on the same person twice.
I did get some changes in for them (Was their classlead for a bit) that has helped with the tactical use of TripleJab. Now I would say that getting soft-locks on people is trivial as long as they remain in the same room with the bard. That is the rub though, since all the person has to do is leave the room to avoid the attack. Still, if all of my other suggestions were added into the mix, then the bard class would be in my opinion balanced out pretty nicely.

How much did the soap go for, Xavius? It says 5 credits, but I remember it being 210 or so a couple hours before it ended.

Wow. Compared to this, being a Pureblade really is a piece of overpowered cake. No wonder I lose to you all the time.

Except I would outbid you no matter what you could pay, then I'd use it to make your life miserable by impersonating you, and everyone else who suggested it or thought it was a good idea. So.. just no.
However, to a much lesser extent to completely looking like them... Bards in Imperian could speak in another persons voice at will. (Achaea Bards = Lame, Imperian Bards = Awesome, two completely different classes, no similarities).
I still want an artie like that ditch the character part and make it NPC.... I would sit around the highways and just have fun with people wanting to lead me to the peak.... When they brought me there I would tell them Hey! What? You expected me to pay you!! Step off biatch!!

Pendant of agreement: Give more chance of your opponent getting a backfire in a debate. Say, 5-15%?
Ring of the Pratchett: Aquamancers only. When riding on your turtle, you look like four elephants, with a large disc resting on their backs. The disc has a small pole of ice in the middle, and if you look with Spectacles of Sight, you see lots of teeny-tiny people on it.

Backfires are dependant on mindset vs debate style, not on chance.

...Oh yeah. Sorry, haven't done any real debating in AGES. I think I'll shut up now before I embarrass myself any more.

Knof of Pratchett: When attached to a mage staff, lets you CHARGE your staff to increase the damage it does for the day. Warning: Charging your staff too much can cause blindness.

Could we please have some duplicate items up for sale? Two or three each of the teleport rings and whistle?
Sylphas2006-06-30 02:26:16
I so want those teleport rings. I'd be content with just one, though. Old-school teleport would be great.
Soll2006-06-30 09:08:37
I'm kinda hoping there'll be about 50-60 auctions, with duplicates, so that you know a -lot- of people are going to get the benefit, instead of someone with a zillion credits getting every auction.

NO. MORE. SOAP.
Soll2006-06-30 09:58:17
We get that. No more soap. You know, it's not only you it's affecting. It affects Magnagora too. Works against one of their better instakills. Before you flame, yes, I know that it affects Magnagorans on a different level to Druids.

It affects me too! Makes it harder to Skunk you.

I know this is a little late to be saying this, but where are the damn keyrings?! That's the one artifact in all IRE I cannot do without. I must have!

Edit:I kid I kid..! Now please stop sending me mail bombs and hate-mail.
I would like to see more of those teleport rings, or maybe even have them eventually turn into a normal artifact.
