Eyes of Mother Night (Enemy-learning Eyepiece) - Allows the user to see enemied factions on all honors sheets.
Pendant of the (Trill, Dracnari, Furrikini, etc.) Scholar (Foreign Language Lessons) - Allows the wearer to understand, speak and write the language of any one race.
Algontherine Whistle (Ship Recovery Tool) - When used at an aetherways portal, summons all of the owner's aethercraft immediately to that dock.

Random Divinely-Created Pets - Small, funny things for the auction, complete with customized attacks, a couple of random reactions, and maybe an interesting affliction or two, like Milton the sickly sheep, with scabies-inflicting action.

And... I dunno. Maybe something special that can be placed in a commune or city. A structure with some sort of built-in mini-quest, perhaps...

Edit: Just thought of another one.

Terentia's Ire (Livestock Demolition Charm) - When worn, if a cow, sheep, or other animal bumps into you, it no longer causes you to lose equilibrium. Instead, the animal instantly slain with explosive effect, teleported into the sky above a random person on the Prime, and left to drop for comedic effect.

Rune of Usefulness: Attached to a wand of fire, allows it to start forest fires with 10 minute prep and costing 10 power.

I like those suggestions Thul, very creative smile.gif.

Dwarven sharpening stone - can be used on bladed weapons once a month to increase a weapon's stats for one day....or maybe that should be half a day. hmm, something like that.

Monkey tooth - gives the owner the abilities that come with spiritbond monkey (could also be similar artifacts such as wolf snout, skunk tail, etc).

Flux Prism - Works like a prism or cubix in terms of restrictions. When touched, teleports you to a random room on the Prime Material Plane. Only works on the Prime Material Plane.

Sure, but outdoor rooms only and non-enemy territory (I.E. Villages/Cities, though if you weren't enemied you could possibly land there). Would be fun.

An artifact crystal ball that tells you about new cities/events/communes/archetypes/gods six RL months in advance.

You're working under the assumption that the people upstairs know that far in advance.

If Estarra could make one of those she'd probably keep it for herself...

Sylphas, there is a strange arrow in your sig.

That's there for my ego. It takes up less space than a full quote. It's the post link arrow you get when you quote. I ganked that instead of the whole thing.

Okay, after 48 hours of figthing with SBC, I am finally able to concentrate once more.

Can some kind soul list the popular artifact suggestions in one post?

Guardian Eye (Spam Generator): Allows one to see when someone steps on or off the same plane as you.
Arcane Placard (Mobile Billboard): Can have its dropped appearance changed in form "An arcane placard here reads: blah blah blah." Appears just after the room description in LOOK, and appears bright red, green, or some obnoxious combination of colors. May only be moved by the owner or Divine.
Fragment of X (Perpetual Karma Blessing): Gives the owner a permanent blessing of any seal. Never mind where the artifacts actually come from... or any long-term effects.
Wand of Silence (Argument-Winning Tool): When pointed, invokes silence as per the Divine punishment, on a victim. May only be used on one target at once, lasts five minutes, and counts as an aggressive action. However, works through Divine Grace.

Something like the Earrings of Sinope in Achaea. You buy a pair and give one to someone else, then you can instantly summon them from anywhere on the same continent/plane.

Crystal Ball = Allows you to see when Mutual allies have entered the realm (low costing artifact)

You know, the monocle thing where observe takes no balance should be moved to the Spectacles of Sight. SECRETS sucks.

I'd like to see some small things go up on Auction, as well as big things. You know, things that'll sell for maybe 100 credits, and there'll be ten of them, so that more people can feel involved in the auction and not out-bid by the people with credits to throw around.

Ring of Aetheric Quickening: Makes teleport take half the time.
Ring of Aetheric Energy: Makes teleport cost no power.

Pendant of the tides - perma waterwalk.

A few I picked out to help.

A pidgeon that can be customized that allowes you to send letters from anywhere.

- idea from tuek on skype.

Slave Collar

- allows someone to be claimed as a slave.
- must be bought by the slave
- slave sets permissions for the collar for who can be Master
- The master can then Summon, and carry the slave at any time.
- the slave can always decide to change the perms for the collar.
Unknown2006-06-26 05:37:22
My pendant of the tides got atleast one nod from the crowd - allows perma waterwalk.
Ialie2006-06-26 05:38:53
wow ninja'd
Kharne2006-06-26 05:44:22
all i want is a vial with unlimited health sips. I'd put a huge amount of credits on it for shimmy

And write them. Yes!
Ialie2006-06-26 05:46:28
Clipboard could be for that.

Clipboard and pidgeon.
Unknown2006-06-26 05:48:47
The pigeon wasn't my idea, I just commented on Skype that it was sold at the artifact auction in Aetolia. They also introduced an unlimited letter sheaf as a regular artifact... that has unlimited free letters...

Unlimited letters + Sending them from anywhere = What have they brought upon us?!
Ialie2006-06-26 06:58:00
ring of IPB Image-blocking

Point this ring at someone and it blocks their ability to custom emote.
Soll2006-06-26 07:07:14
doh.gif I thought you were talking about a 'ring of chicken-blocking'. I was like... blink.gif

No perma-waterwalk! sad.gif Unless you mean, something you can rub permanently. I don't want to see something that means the waterwalk defence can never be stripped. sad.gif

Hamsters! Little pet hamsters that are loyal to the buyer. They're not sentient, mountable, but you can order them around.

I'd like to see the Wand of Fire and Wand of Ice again, too. Perhaps the Fire could set forests on fire. halo.gif

Can some kind soul list the popular artifact suggestions in one post?

QUOTE( ARTIFACTS WHICH COPY CURRENT SKILLS ABILITIES OR OTHER ARTIFACTS)

1-An artifact that allows custom entry and exit messages.

2-Artifact that grants the alertness ability... I.E. can see people entering/exiting adjacent rooms to you. Can be turned on or off.

3-a burrow artifact

4-a fly artifact

5-an artifact that lets you diagnose others

6-An item that grants the vitality ability.

7-an artifact that allows you to sense the elevation of a person in your area

8-An artifact to change how you look in a room.

9-An artifact that allows use of the "Refresh Power" ability.

10-A celerity ring. Let's you move an additional room per tick before you get the "Do not be so hasty" message.

11-A tail to sting with a random affliction (similar to Nihilist only uses balance rather than having it's own).

12-Pendant of the (Trill, Dracnari, Furrikini, etc.) Scholar (Foreign Language Lessons) - Allows the wearer to understand, speak and write the language of any one race.

13-An artifact that will tell you whenever an enemy on your enemy list enters the local area.

14-PSYCHIC BEACON
Once implanted in your manse fulcrux you may thereafter locate your manse through the folds of the planes and aether and call yourself back to your home. You gain the additional ability to Tesseract Manse.

15-Monkey tooth - gives the owner the abilities that come with spiritbond monkey (could also be similar artifacts such as wolf snout, skunk tail, etc).

QUOTE( ARTIFACTS WHICH MODIFY CURRENT SKILLS ABILITIES OR OTHER ARTIFACTS)

1-An artifact to reduce the time it takes to weave a gate in half (or more?)

2-Upgraded changeling cameo that allows you to change every lusternian day.

3-Clipboard - able to write on things without having to sit at a desk

4-Ring of Aetheric Quickening: Makes teleport take half the time.

5-Invisibility Cloak. Yesod always seems to cut out when I don't want it to.

6-A pidgeon that can be customized that allowes you to send letters from anywhere.

7-Custom cubix/prism: I.E. takes you to your own PRIVATE cubix/prism room, and you choose the exits (within reason).

8-Monocle of some sort: Makes observe and glance not cost equilibrium.

9-An artifact that lets you use STARGAZE from anywhere (A sextant!), even if you aren't an astrologer.

10-The Wand of Fire and Wand of Ice again, too. Perhaps the Fire could set forests on fire.

11-
This is a special rune that can be attached to a bed, which will reduce the willpower cost for a dreamweaver, as long as the dreamweaver enters dreamform while sleeping in that bed.

12-Bracelet of Faith: When you slay a member of a divine order, your patron automatically gains essence equal to what their patron lost as a result of the death. Also double the essence generated through offering player corpses.

13-Hajamin's Saddle--You will not be knocked prone or knocked off your mount except by jousting.

14-an artifact that makes you immune to currents

QUOTE( TRADE SKILL STYLED ARTIFACTS)

1-A seam ripper artifact for a tailor so they can take apart clothing and get a small bit of comms back.

2-Hmmm an artifact that allows artisans to make toys Teddybears and other stuffed animals, dolls, and so on.

3-Tools of Mastery: Allows you build furniture faster, makes it last longer, and gives back more comms when you deconstruct.

QUOTE( RATHER UNQUIE OR INTERESTING ARTIFACTS)

1-Arcane Placard (Mobile Billboard): Can have its dropped appearance changed in form "An arcane placard here reads: blah blah blah." Appears just after the room description in LOOK, and appears bright red, green, or some obnoxious combination of colors. May only be moved by the owner or Divine.

2-FOREST DISGUISE
Syntax: FOREST DISGUISE
Using your advanced skills in druidry, when you are in the forest you can now appear as any animal that walks the forest.

3-Ear/Scalp keychain: a place to keep trophies for scalps/ears. Owner must cut them off, and can only have one ear/scalp per person on a keychain (for obvious reasons). Owner can showoff ear/scalp list.

4-Certificate of Confusion - 'Read Certificate'. One-time gender change. Could offer more than one of these. CANNOT be reversed, except through another certificate.

5-Colourful wand - Pointing this wand at an item will cause that item to glow for a time in the color of your choice.

6-Slave Collar
- allows someone to be claimed as a slave.
- must be bought by the slave
- slave sets permissions for the collar for who can be Master
- The master can then Summon, and carry the slave at any time.
- the slave can always decide to change the perms for the collar.

7-Terentia's Ire (Livestock Demolition Charm) - When worn, if a cow, sheep, or other animal bumps into you, it no longer causes you to lose equilibrium. Instead, the animal instantly slain with explosive effect, teleported into the sky above a random person on the Prime, and left to drop for comedic effect.

8-Crystal Ball = Allows you to see when Mutual allies have entered the realm (low costing artifact)

9-Sticky Gloves - Any runes, tarot cards, and motes used against you are transferred into your inventory. They still affect you as usual.

10-Algontherine Whistle (Ship Recovery Tool) - When used at an aetherways portal, summons all of the owner's aethercraft immediately to that dock.

11-Something like the Earrings of Sinope in Achaea. You buy a pair and give one to someone else, then you can instantly summon them from anywhere on the same continent/plane.

12-Also, artifact keyrings. Only the owner can attach their keys to it, or detach. And make them stop keys from decaying, maybe?

13-A item of some sort you can place on the ground. The first attempt to sense your location instead tells them where the gem is located, and destroys it, then you must wait for it to reset to your inventory again. So leave it at Mother Tree, stand on Avechna's peak, get sensed and they see the Mother Tree instead, but the next sense would show your actual position.

14-An artifact to hide your might on honors (Damn, just make this a regular one!)
Well there is my comprehensive list. I only removed the stupidest and the most overpowered and unbalancing of them. I can't gauge which are most popular though.
