Well, after playing the good guy in several PC games for a while now, I have the urge to run around and be badass and all. Not the kind of Baldurs Gate badass ("I choose the bad answer and then I behave good, otherwise I can't solve the game!"), I am looking for something like "Grarrrrrr *kills innocent people and eats their soul*". Like, playing as a Vampire, Werewolf, Demon, Devil, whatever, just SOMETHING where I can be an evil guy. I noticed there aren't too many games out there that lets you do that...
Any suggestions are appreciated, I wouldn't mind if they are older too, and I'd love to hear about some Adventures or RPGs.

I hear Knights of the Old Republic and Fable: The Lost Episodes are good games that visualize the choice of being "Evil". You might want to try those.

there's always city of villians

Fallout 2, and probably the original Fallout as well, might have something you're looking for. I'm not sure to what extent it affects the overall storyline (although I know it does change things) but anything that is alive can be killed. Shopkeepers, pets, small children, and old women are all vulnerable to you, should you choose to kill them. Plus the second one at least is worth playing anyway.

I suggested Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment earlier, he's looking for a more blatantly evil thing rather than just optionally evil.
I still don't really know about RPGs, but as I say Sacrifice, Black & White, Legacy of Kain series and Dungeon Keeper are probably your best bets...

Grand Theft Auto is one, you can run over people, steal cars, shoot down innocent bystanders, grab a tank, wreak havoc. Yeah, that's an evil badass game

I've never actually played them, but aren't there several various vampire games? Blood Rayne, Blood Omen, Something: the Masquerade? And someone suggested the jedi games. Dark Forces 2, Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy all allow you to go around and slay innocent people, which supposedly affects the outcome of the game.
The only reason I suggested Fallout is because you can definitely still finish the game while slaughtering all of the people. It's not the "oh, I'm bad, but I have to act decent in order to win" he was talking about in the begining.

Manhunt . But it's not RPG.
You're playing a murderer.

Blood Rayne is not evil per se (she fights nazis!). I have no idea about the new Vampire game, but the old one sucked and you weren't evil either.
Legacy of Kain, however, is a very different game... several games. Kain is badass evil, Raziel is emo. The last one (Defiance) has an almost cliffhanger ending, so I presume there will be more. Which is good, because Legacy is a very good action/adventure series. Combat is extremely satisfying, although slithly different in each game - compare Blood Omen II to Soul Reaver, for example. The plot is intriguing, and I really like the dialogues. You'll only be surprised if you start playing from the middle of the series, so here they are in the chronological (kind of, because time travel is heavily involved in the games) order:
Blood Omen - old (2 dimensional!) game, explains Kain's origin and his decision which messed everything up
Soul Reaver - old but already 3d, explains whereabouts of Raziel
Blood Omen II - a bit of a spinoff, so it's not compulsory to explain the plot
Soul Reaver II
Defiance

I should note that soul reaver 2 will make ZERO SENSE AT ALL if you didn't play blood omen 2. Believe me, I played those two games in the wrong order.

My eMule is just delivering Blood Omen to me. <.< Played Soul Reaver, it was really sweet. I am thinking about getting Blood Omen II and Soul Reaver II for PC, but I heard Blood Omen isn't all that good, little story and all....what about Defiance?
Shiri2006-07-16 15:09:51
Blood Omen 2 was pretty horrendous from my perspective.
Soul Reaver 2 was good to an extent, but I wouldn't pay the full £40 for it. It's one of those weekend games.

If you can find people to play with, Shadowrun offers an excellent venue for dark, gritty, criminal sorts of evil.

Talking about PC games, kiddo. There aren't many table RPGers around. Actually. None. at. all.

I really liked vampire the masquared, its so fun sucking the life out of virgin nuns.
Also, Knights of the Old republic, is a great game with a great story, and its very very easy to be evil. And yes you can beat teh game that way. Both 1 and 2.

Grand theft auto. The recent parts of the series are particularly cool for the 'chicken with head cut off' effect you get when you headshot someone. Randomly shooting people from your car until you have the FBI after you is a great way to relax.
Vampire is fun as a tabletop game if you screw with it by being a munchkin; it's intended to be a deep, emotional game about how much life sucks now that you're a monster with superpowers. Obfuscate while using celerity and let 'em have it, I say. The GM, particularly the specially deluded ones who call themselves 'storytellers', won't know what hit him.

Elder Scrolls 3 and 4 are pretty killer, you can be vampire or werewolf in Morrowind, and Oblivion is the biggest, coolest, most addictive game I have ever played, and you can be a vampire in that one too.
Shamarah2006-07-16 18:15:48
KOTOR is pretty good about letting you follow the dark side if you want.
Unknown2006-07-16 19:40:49
Another good oldie - Dungeon Keeper.
Unknown2006-07-16 19:46:11
Yea but it doesn't really change the plot, in Oblivion theres a whole quest line based around the dark brotherhood, an assassins guild, where you get contracts to kill people and you must find and kill them in sometimes particular ways, has a cool plot twist too. You can steal literally anything in the game, kill anyone, be a vampire, slay vampires, call on demon lords to grant you powers, join a mages guild and work your way up to archmage, become the arena champion, save the world, fireball a bookshelf and watch everything fly everywhere, create spells, enchant weapons, capture a unicorn for a mount, kill a unicorn for fun, spend time in jail, break out of jail, find the notorious Grey Fox leader of the thieves guild, become the Grey Fox, make potions out of plants you find wandering the lands, become a mudcrab hunter, and have a killer house with all your booty in it and a maid that will give you as much alchol as you want.
Edit:Ooooh dungeon keeper is alot of fun, but not really an rpg.
