The only thing more watery than Busch is water. Stay away from it.
See, and that's the kind that everyone seems to bring to parties and such around here, and it's all I've known. Six more days until I can join in the taste testing. >.>

Just had some Evil Eye last night, it definitly wasn't bad, but it is definitly meant to get you drunk.

So bock is hoppy and sweet. I thought that stout was also hoppy, yet the two taste totally different. What makes them different?

Usually the way the malts made. Often has roasted malts to get the darker heavy flavour. Note that the Portugeuse do make a Bock Stout so they aren't that far apart. It basically tastes like a light stout.

I'm no taste expert yet so I can't answer your questions.

Here's a worst beer recommendation. I like beer. I like Mexican food and anything hot and spicey with habernero peppers or whatever else. So seeing a Mexican beer made with chipotle peppers seemed like a good idea. Two things I like put into one! (Brewery was called Rogue.) I don't know how to even begin describing its awfulness.

Well I'm sorry about that. I mean one WOULD think that 2 good things makes a great thing, but I guess that isn't always the case.
As for beer... I'm not much of a beer drinker, more of a wine or liquor girl...
but I do like Newcastle. I actually like it alot.

I'm not the greatest beer connoisseur in the world, but one of my best drinking buddies is, and I traveled around Europe with him for a while.
My personal favorites are:
Guinness - hands down favorite ever, mainly cause it's so damn good and common enough where I can get it on a regular basis
Boddington's - when guinness is just too heavy
Chimay Blue
Chumley's Pumpkin Spiced Ale (house brew of a speak-easy in nyc - almost impossible to find)
Wexford's Irish Cream
Kirin Ichiban Premium
Argh, there's this one I forget...it's a blueberry stout. So good.
Bellevue Kriek (cherry beer - chick drink but still damned good)
Any geueze beer. They're very rare and hard to find, but well worth it. Basically it's a beer brewed like champagne, somehow? I don't know. It's just good.
Yuengling
Heineken - meh
Sam Adams - some of em, hate the cherry one
Worst beer I've ever had was this 13% one in Belgium. It came in a goblet as big as a small child, and my god it was vomit inducing. Think it was called Busche or something.

Busch is an American beer. It's about the cheepest thing you get, used by poor bums and poor college students to get drunk mainly. The only thing more watery than Busch is water. Though I suspect this is not the same beer you speak of.
I discovered that Samuel Adams has a series of "extreme beers". One of them has about a 25% alcohol by volume! Sadly, the fascists that run Ohio don't allow beer that high to be imported. Maybe I will have to sneak across to Pennsylvania to grab some.
Dvyrus2006-07-19 04:53:28
If you're a fan of Corona, an often-unheard of Mexican beer you should try is Sol. Though it might be hard to find based on your region.
As for American beer, Yuengling beats out its competition pretty soundly.

Smirnoff supposedly is pretty good. Only tried the Vodka Coolers though. Canadian so its a bit more alchohol. Coolers alone have 7%.
Nepthysia2006-07-20 00:10:42
The Smirnoff ones are very good, I love em - but I prefer Smirnoff to most vodkas sooooo I'm bias Parot bay is pretty good when it comes to coolers. Bacardi (yup, fave rum) makes some good coolers too, I personally like the O3 one.
Beer is just.. gross. I'll take shots or mix drinks over nasty pee beer any day.
... and I already have a shotgun to go with it! lol

Pssh Out of the normal Smirnoff's Smirnoff Black is the only one that even makes the grade of drinkable vodka.
Actually Smirnoff do an excellent variation on black where the only take the middle cut of the still, but it is VERY difficult to find.

I like Beck's beer, strait from Germany, and relatively smooth.
If I've been drinkin all night already then a Corona is always nice to have (I like anything with a lime in it).
I don't usually drink coolers or girly drinks, but if I do I'll go make myself some Holy Water (mix of Bols, Vodka, Tequila, and Spite). Three of my friends own bars, so I'm well versed in alcohol.
