Quid - Daganev mentioned something about trying to be killed at night and having blood drip out of his nose in the morning, right? That means something was done at night. Verithrax didn't do it, unless I was roleblocked, and I really doubt that happened given the situation and how much luck and random chance that would have taken.
Diamondais2006-08-10 22:49:36
Hm, glad almost everyones able to think of a reason to vote. I really can't see any good reasons at the moment.
Quidgy you kinda do..but I don't think you're a scum.
Tsephalala, sorry I can't spell your name, I'm still confused over your statements on how Im protecting Verithrax.
Archer..not too much from you lately that I can remember.
Shiri I haven't heard you say too much either.
Verithrax, you still seem scummy sort of but not enough for me to cast a vote.
Shorlen, I don't even know what to think about your role.
Iridiel, you seem kind of dodgy to me.
Forren, I just don't much about you. I can't recall what youve said off the top of my head.
Ugh, just have a very fuzzy head right now. Can't think straight. Guess Im also trying to bring conversation back.

Nobody land the last vote on Quid until he has a chance to roleclaim something credible and convices us he's not a scum. Right now, trying to send our eyes towards Tsae and Shiri for being inactive makes me think they're in different teams OR he's trying to make sure they don't look suspicious if we find out he's a scum (after all, scum wouldn't vote for scum right?)
Everyone tries to direct eyes other ways when they're being targetted, it's what this game is about.
But ok, my role:
Just a regular townie. When Daganev pointed out that I'd not been as aggressive as normal (which was because I was off sick for a week and couldn't be bothered, to be honest) I realised people might think I was more than a townie and target me, so since then I've ramped it up again with the aggression. True to form, it gets me targetted anyway .

Actually, and as far as I know, there has been no talk outside of this thread so you can always just re-read the thread not to miss any possible talk, justification, reasoning...
Including why does Shorlen thinks about psionic abilities and a description of their effects if I am not mistaken.

I don't really have the time to reread threads. It's that simple realy. I missed it the first time. If I get a chance I'll go back over it.

Tsae ALWAYS rambles incoherently, I don't know where you get that impression.
Oh, and I haven't been inactive. I've been posting enough! Just been busy with things in Lusternia, especially fighting this morning and aftermath thereof.
I've never seen Tsae ramble like that though, so much so that it makes me weary.
When I say you've been inactive I mean you've not contributed to the game much, you're almost lurking.

Oh I know what I meant was, did the action against daganev the night before kill him over time or was there a second action during the day to finish him off? Mafia roles sometimes have split action roles like that so I was just pondering that.

I think I'll give it two more days. So that's the 16th of August, around 9pm. Probably. (The time is really variable, depending on when I have access to a computer.) That's assuming people are talking. Otherwise I'll night it in 24 hours.
The first post is being updated to reflect this. Good evening, fellow murderers.
Edit: <-- because I'm allowed to: Just for the record, I don't really mind Daganev talking. He just can't say anything of import, or related to the game.
Edit again: This is what I have as the vote count at the moment. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Verithrax: Tsaephai
Quidgyboo: Iridiel, Shorlen, Verithrax, Forren
Iridiel: Shiri, Diamondais
Not Voting: Archer2, Quidgyboo
With 9 alive it's 5 to lynch.

So I guess no more time limit.
"Quickly!" calls an anonymous voice from the crowd, "Night is being delayed! Father Sun has been in the sky for far too long."
"Yes," another agrees, "I think I'm developing a sun allergy."
"Besides," responds the first voice, "Daganev's corpse is beginning to smell bad. Let's bring on the Night."
With a small, self-sacrificing sigh, Archer2 hurls a knife through Quidgyboo's eye.
"It's just to stop the whining," he explains, as though this makes everyone feel better.
Suddenly everyone experiences a fit of narcolepsy. Go to sleep now.
It is Night 3.
Ok, so I lied. There is a time limit. August 17th, around the same time.

So for anyone that still cared, I am declaring this game officially dead. About a month ago I ended up in an outpatient program in a mental hospital 150 miles away and I've been trying to put my life back together since then (which was going fairly well until just recently).
So this is how things were set up. There were three sides: a cult, serial killer, and the Serenwilde Commune. Each person got a role, although some of them were dummy roles that targetted a non-existant scum/traditional Mafia team. Each person except the cult leader and the SK also got a conversion role indicated with the "/C:" that the CL could optionally retrain into at the time of conversion. I gave vague hints about...I think about what role they could convert to, but not what they currently had.
The cult won once everyone was either in, or out. Shiri had to try to kill off those he couldn't convert.
The SK had a difficult task. He had to create what would otherwise be a standoff between the remaining sides not including his influence on the remaining abilities. The most probable scenario for this would be to have simply him and one other player remaining.
Any of my comments added now are bolded and italicized.
1)Shiri: Cult leader
You are the leader of the Holy Celestine Church. Your goal is to spread the power of the Light to the world and the masses flock to your hypnotic personality. Each night you may select someone to baptize into the Church, and upon doing so may allow them to continue their current job, or assign them a new vocation. You must decide at the same time that you decide to induct them. Just be warned, for any people with violent tendecies will resist your sermons, and will still learn your identity.
In simpler terms, you are the cult leader. You win once everyone else has either seen the Light or been sent to the Fates. As you induct someone into the Church, you must decide if you want them to keep their current role, without first knowing what it is, or if you want them to convert to a new role. Each person has a specific role that they convert into if you choose to do so. As a word of advice, most people get better abilities tailored for the Cult, but not everyone does.
You and the members of your cult may communicate at night only. You also learn what each member has the ability to do as they join the cult. You may direct them in how to use their skills, but they don't necessarily have to listen. It would be in their best interests, however, since yours is a vindictive personality. You can kill as many members of your Church as you like during the night, should they choose not to obey you.
2)Quidgyboo: SK
You are a rogue with a vengeance against the world. Unfortunately for you, you can't rule a Basin of dead bodies, so you'll have to keep at least one of them alive. In order for you to win, you must bring the game to a what would otherwise be a draw between the remaining people.
You are also skilled telekinetic. Each night you choose one person to burst, which will weaken the poor victim's heart. At any time you choose, day or night, after that you can heartburst which will instantly kill him or her. You can heartburst as many people as you choose, provided you have weakened their hearts first.
3)Archer2: Psychic/C: Third of a resurgem
Ever since you were a young child, you have been able to see glimpses of the Tapestry of the Fates. Each night you can examine the Tapestry and determine what any one person is going to do the following night. I will ask them about the next night, and tell you who they're targeting. They are bound to follow through on that choice. Unfortunately for you, if the person you target dies before they can perform their action, you lose faith in your abilities and become a normal citizen.
You win with the town.
4)Diamondais (sided with Quid): Bookie/C: Third of a resurgem(sides with SK)
You must make a choice. Pick a number between one and six. This will determine your fate.
The number chosen ended up with her on Quidgyboo's side. It could have gone to any of the teams. They also didn't know each other's identities until after Quid had attempted to kill her.
You have the spirit of Tzaraziko within you and have a taste for games of chance. Each night you will make a bet, either on who will die during the night, or who will be lynched during the day. If you guess correctly, I will give you a different set of choices. These choices can include anything from ressurecting a dead player, to killing a person, to complete immunity from death.
For some reason she didn't bet on the day before she knew about Quid, and then didn't (as far as I know) collaborate with him on the night deaths afterwards. I had a list of what would happen if she guessed correctly, based on which round we were in and wether it was a night or a day kill, but it's on another computer that I don't have with me.
5)Shorlen: Role detector/C: forced roleclaim and Miller
You one of the dreamweavers of the Serenwilde. During the night you can stealthily creep up to any one person and spy on them. If they do anything that night, you will be able to deduce their role. If you can't tell who they are, then they are either plain townies, or chose not to act.
You win with the town.
6)Forren: Aeon and miller/C: (must switch) Bus driver
You control the power of the waning Moon. Each night you may select a person to be caught within the field. As long as they are under the Moon's power, any action they take will be delayed by 24 hours. You can only maintain two fields at a time. If you try a third person, the first person will return to the natural time stream.
You win with the town. However, you were born with disfigured features and so anyone attempting to discern who you are will believe you to be allied with the scum.
7)Iridiel: Truth teller/C: Third of a resurgem
The trackers of the Serenguard learn many things about Nature, but they also deal with sentient creatures. Bonded with Brother Snake, you have an innate connection to the art of deception. Each night you can do one of two things.
First, you can PM me the post number of a post in the game thread and I will tell you whether or not the poster is telling the truth. If it's something I have no way of knowing, such as glove size, then I'll just make something else up.
Second, you can ask me a direct question and I will answer truthfully. However, you can only do this one time.
You win with the town.
8)Daganev: Guardian (against Mafia)/C: Sacrifice against SK
There are nasty people in this world, and as Guardian of the Hartstone, it is your job to stop them from doing their evil work.
Each night you may choose a person to protect. If that person is targetted by the scum that night, you will be able to succesfully ward them off.
Since there wasn't an official scum/Mafia side, this was effectively and wild goose chase thrown in to make people believe in a traditional mafia set up.
You win with the town.
9)Tsaephai: Seer (for Mafia)/C: seer (for SK)
The nasty people in this world have a unique aura about them. Each day at any time before a lynch has occured you can observe someone and see if they are scum. You are unable to discern anything else about them, though.
Same with this one
You win with the town.
10)Brad: Guardian (against Cult leader)/C: Undo any effects currently in place
I don't remember what I meant with the conversion role...
You are the guild master of the Moondancers. You honour the fae and Mother Moon in everything you do. Yet there are some among you the wish to steal people to their own faith, and it is your goal to protect them.
Each night you may protect someone from religious heretics. You win with the town.
11)Verithrax: Heal against SK/C: normal townie
The wiccan are experienced in the art of healing. Your task is to cure those with wounded hearts. You will be told if you are successful in this endeavour.
This was intentionally vague, again to attempt to prevent people from guessing the setup too quickly. If Verithrax had ever actually guessed correctly it would have been a rather large boon to the town. If they believed him, that is.
You win with the town.

I'm sorry about all mishandlings on my part, like constantly mis-counting the vote counts. I'm really not a great moderator (obviously). I just enjoy designing the games. If at some point someone wants a co-mod I would love to help create another setup without being solely responsible for keeping the game going afterwards.
I'd also appreciate feedback about the game itself. It seemed like you guys were starting to piece things together and the discussion picked up for a while. Just let me know.
