From what I know, a gem of fascination can be used regardless of a person’s current trade skill. Does the same go for Magi Crown, Magic Tomb, and Splendor robes? I hear with splendor robes, once you remove them and you are no longer a tailor, you may not wear them unless you go back to that trade. Then again, I heard this from a trans forger who was making a wild guess.
Anyone know about these for sure?

You can only make trans items when you are trans in the skill, then you can use them regardless of skills as long as your class doesn't restrict it (for example a fullplate or other armor that a wiccan couldn't put back on if removed)

Of course, if you trans tailoring, get splendour robes, then forget it to trans something else, I will hunt you down and kill you, because doing that kind of thing cheapens the tradeskill and the (Already pretty damn meager) advantage trans tailors get.
This game is not a competition of who can powergame more by dumping droves of money into it.
Oh wait...

Yeah but what she is asking is if her robes were removed and she was no longer a tailor would it do the same thing as full plate if you are not a forger. (You cannot put it back on)
On the other things yes... A warrior cannot use a transcendant enchanters crown. Since they are not offered enchanting as a tradeskill. Yet they could use the transfix gem since it is an option open to warriors. So if Reiha for instance switched to Warrior, she would not be allowed to use her crown.
But does anyone know if Splendor Robes act the same way as a Full Plate if you are no longer a trans tailor?

you do not lose great robes
but, why trans tailoring, when you can trans Orti and gain a special ability called "Zomg, I trans Orti". Which gives you the satisfaction you helped a friend
so, give your credits to orti

Erm, does it really cheapen the trade? I don't really see how, and thought nothing of it when others like Narsrim and Telrath have done it (forgot a skill, keep the trans trade item, then switch to a new trade and trans that). Seems okay to me, and one less tailor around might mean more business, especially since I have a habit of offering my services virtually for free (enchantments! for those whose minds are in the gutter).

Um...I just want to be last longer than the standard 1.5 minutes I do in battles with people, hard to do that without a few nifty items if you have little fighting skills per se
And there's nothing wrong with paying a few bucks for a game one enjoys. Like what Richter said once about financially supporting Lusternia and its hard working programmers or something similiar to that effect.

Doesn't really sound that satisfying, and any spare creddies goes to a certain Pureblade who needs 'em since it's impossible to fight well enough without a rune or two. Still some wee problems with one rune, actually...but that topic's already been discussed and disregarded, I think.

Don't the robes decay so eventually you'd have to go back to being a tailor eventually if you wanted them again?

You can get a tailor to mend them when they get close to decaying so not really unless you use them so long they turn into rags. Every time you mend from a trans tailor I think it's about 75 months give or take

Right, you can mend those too silly Ashteru. You can wear and remove them freely as well. I'd know because I have splendor robes
