I was thinking of an event where like time has been rewinded then we're back when Old Celest still up, Magnagora ain't tainted and etc. Then here we are going to 1) We're going to convice them to prevent or make the same mistakes (like Celestians going to convince Emperor Ladantine from going to Astral thus not releasing the taint and Kethuru, etc...) 2) Just see how it all happened, what was really their purpose that time, who's fault it is, etc.
Well thinking of it, it's just going to make a large work for the programmers. Especially if we're going to do 1 and managed to convice them not to go to Astral and Link thus changing the future of the game.
Number 2 however, it's much like learning, how it felt to be there, what would you have done when you were still alive. Etc.
But as I said earlier, making this kind of event is going to be a whole lot of work.

Just reading this...
LET US PEOPLE ACROSS THE SUPRA-PUDDLE JOIN IN!
Seriously, that summit was Midnight for me. Even if I was awake, I wouldn't be able to say anything vaguely intelligent. Please please please run things like that twice next time, and make sure a log of the first one is put up straight after it's ended, so we don't get repetitions.

Honestly, I don't see Lusternia ever being as fun as it used to be. Lusternia, like all games similar to it, has turned into a numbers cruncher game, and less of an RPG. In the beginning, it was nice because everyone was new and didn't know every detail of how everything worked. You could actually RP and not worry about Mr. Big-Mean-Bad-Guy stepping in and killing you because he felt like it.
I can't make suggestions without making them seem biased to my view of the game, but here they are, in no particular order: Disclaimer: By no means am I claiming I'm an expert in how everything works. Don't flame me.
Remove the Declare system. PK Careful was enough, and declare makes the game a lot more tedious than it needs to be.
Remove the Karma system. There are enough buffs in the game as it is.
Less favoritism towards Serenwilde (and Glomdoring to a degree) Since the beginning I have seen time and time again how Serenwilde gets the goods, while the rest of us sit back and get the boot. I know there are others who agree with me about this, and I won't go into detail.

This is a replica of what was said above, due to the extreme irritating and pain my eyes suffered whilst trying to decipher the first letter of the first word.

Declare was put in to stop teamkilling and I think it works rather well with the off hand bugs of running out of enemy territory before dying.
And yeah, karma isn't really needed that much now either. With the 10 person limit before vengeance and the sissiness of the karma curses I just let people who kill me sit on my suspect list so they can't kill me again.
Favoritism? I'm sure the admin try their best to be fair to all sides. I'm pretty biased I suppose, but during that stint when I wasn't really playing but reading the forums the recent events sounded like Serenwilde was getting the boot.

Oh my god that yellow font is horridly blinding...thank you Soll

Remove karma blessings? Usually that is the only stat buff I have, besides throne/netzach. The karma blessings are fine the way they are.

I was inactive for a few months, hoping something cool might happen in my absence. I log on, excited about all the new news n' stuff
You tell Lyco "Anything interesting happen recently?"
Lyco tells you "Nope"
Asked about seven other people the same question, guess what sort of replies I got?

How about a world changing event. Something spectacular. Something that will change Lusternia forever. I want conflict, excitement, etc.
Just as Guido succinctly put it, the game has no depth. Its all the same old boring crap. We players do our part with the RP, I disagree with vale_kant. We are "force fed rp" quite a bit, and it ruins our own initiative because we are afraid it will conflict with the "guidelines" set up by the admin.
Why cant a city be dealt a major blow? Sure there are various ways to attack other communes, but they have no meaning and are insubstantial. These repetitive "attacks" against other communes get really old after awhile. How about something new for a change?

I think Magnagora's working on making the star of Celest fall
Unknown2006-07-14 18:56:32
I remember doing the calculations awhile ago. They'd have to kill the Supernals an insane number of times to get the star anywhere near death.

at least we are workin' on it
Rauros2006-07-15 03:22:33
You would have better luck helping them get to one million power and convincing them to make a vernal to bring down the star.
Arel2006-07-15 21:51:24
We should have an event where Magnagora raises Daevos as a vernal God and he smites New Celest. Magnagora could rejoice because their archenemies suffered defeat and they have a vernal god. The communes could gain an ability to plant a forest where the city of New Celest was before Daevos blew it up and then go to war with each other over who got to plant the forest, and the citizens of New Celest could have a fun event where they got to pick the location of the city of New New Celest.
Unknown2006-07-15 22:02:24
Ooor...how 'bout forests join together smash Celest, which Magnagora's like YAY! CELEST DEAD! but goes Shit, because the forests have turned on Mag and destroys them and turns the basin in to forest. And its a win-win situation.
Natarm2006-07-16 05:51:50
I'd like to see some consequence on Serenwilde for proving "We'd rather let our forest burn to the ground than concede ANYTHING to Glomdoring. Not even a pickle." I'm sure White Hart and Moon would be absolutely stirred by that show of absolute devotion and loyalty

I...am going to assume that you are merely uninformed on what actually happened before and during these last couple events rather than be annoyed at you for completely misunderstanding them and coming out with a conclusion like this.

I've been secretly building foundations under the Inner Sea for decades just in case. How neat would a underwater city be? Screw the non-merians

Also, the Mags have Old Celest to walk around if maggie's destroyed. They can have bashing grounds with city conglut.. woot!
Natarm2006-07-16 14:16:41
Eh. Not knowing how things went in Serenwilde, thats kinda how it seemed all day. It felt kinda anticlimatic to me at the end...I was tired, too, when I posted that, and kinda frustrated that as far as I knew, Serenwilde sat around all day, let their forest burn, and just waited for Glomdoring to get tired of having Crow and Night getting weaker, and then just handed the spirits back over after saying "We win".
This is not to discredit what the admin's did...they put a lot of work in. I suppose I was just hoping for more of a resolution then "Glomdoring 0, Serenwilde 1."
To be fair, at one point, Natarm told Shayle "You know, I almost feel bad. I'm angry at the people in Serenwilde, not the Forest. Almost makes me want to go help them out, if only to keep the Forest from suffering."
I suddenly feel so emo. /wrists

Yay, destroy Celest and open up Hallifax and Gaudiguch. Win-win. And maybe a few people could get trapped in the ruins, and the Fates wouldn't see fit to bring them back.
