Where are the Crow and Hart Aspects? Are they those random people that you see wandering the Ethereal Plane every once and a while?
What if the Star and Necromentate die out every 5 game years during some astrological configuration? Personally, I think the raising quests are cool and I bet younger players would really get a kick out of helping out.
That'd be pretty cool, actually. I'd greatly enjoy working on that!

The aspects of Crow are in the Dark Nest in Etherglom and the aspects of Hart are in that grove thing in Ethereal Serenwilde.

That would feel rather... contrived.
I'd much prefer a big quest that could take them down. Maybe a quest that would take down both the Star and the Necromentate, and a similar quest that would take down both the Flame and the Drums?
That's ridiculous. City/commune imbalances really do need to be looked at...
Like this idea.

No.
There are several different denizens that most get confused.
Avatars: Demonlord/Supernal equivalent for communes.
Aspects: Tide/Rock lord equivalent for communes. These exist in separate areas where you have to 'enter' something to get in.
Night/Moon daughters: these are the ones you see roaming faethorn at certain times

QUOTE(Genos @ Jul 13 2006, 02:24 PM) 307283
I know I wish the lords were a bit different and interesting. I especially feel sorry for the Tidal Lords because they all are practically the same. The Earth Lords represent different types like Boulders, Sand, Mud, and Stone Slabs. They all have different descriptions and whatnot. The Tidal Lords basically all have the same description except for a change of one word and they are all Tides. They should be like Ice, Mist, Freshwater, and Saltwater or something to make them unique.
The Tidal Lords and Ladies are actually different as they represent the different tides. High, low, red, and the last which I don't remember at the moment. They've been assigned to roles like politics, inter-guild, culture, and fighting. I do want them to interact with the Aquamancers more, and I hear that the Stone Lords don't teach anything. I've tried to talk to Skerriagh a couple times now, but no luck. I do know that the last Aqua GM, Sipelus, did get to talk to him, though.
Definitely, one of my main problems is the lack of Elder Gods. What seems to be happening is we have a few ones that seem to meddle so much just because there's really only one main Divine per community. I know it's something that you need good people behind, so I can understand why it's taking so long.
I'd definitely like more interaction with mobs. Currently it is pretty good, but something like back when Celest got Acknor and we were trying to turn them towards the Light would be wonderful. It made us think and really interact with our environment.
I don't know how possible this is, but when events are held with Divine it's becoming a bit too obvious where things are going to head. We don't have much say. For example (and possibly a bad one...I could also use the one with the Supernals and Demon Lords), the recent Seren/Glom treaty: There didn't seem to be much choice about accepting the Treaty from what I heard. There's always a certain resolution, it seems, that has to be reached, so there isn't much the players get to influence.
While it is mostly up to us to get this moving: Special roles for each Guild within their community. Maybe one is able to use illusions or something to perform ceremonies to act as spiritual guides, and another has more options for protecting an area. Even just being able to title the roles in the HELP
I think there should be more ways for the Light and the Taint to interact. At the moment it's like being stuck in a rut; we can't get rid of the Taint from their areas (ex. Sea of Despair being turned back into Crystal Sea), all we can do is try to influence the citizens. I'm not sure about the other side, but no doubt Magnagora has some similar problems. The idea about the quests to destroy the Star/Necromantate? (don't remember) is a good one.
I definitely agree that the histories are -awesome-. Compared to Achaea's...These are like reading exciting novels.
Thank you!

I'd love to see the family system tweaked. I hate having my RP refuted every time I look at STAT.
I'd LOVE to see Commune vs. City RP. Sylphas does it, Charune pushes it, but the mechanics are going to rebuff any real attempts at it.

Just an FYI.
The crow aspects are really easy to slay. I'm talking easier than a linked astral creature, here.
The tide/rock lords aren't too hard, either.
The hart aspects are RIDICULOUSLY & INCREDIBLY HARD TO KILL. They did 1500 every 3 seconds through a TF, and up to 3-4 HIDDEN venoms per hit, including AEON. They also LIFELEECH, and CHASE. Whoever made them ... just wow..

They don't hit slowly, I was becoming blinded often, and I was reckless and confused for a lot of it, but I think that might have been a totem hitting me, it was really confusing. Also, the Crow aspects chase as well.

I'll have to go kill them again then. Last time was a couple weeks ago, and it was really really easy.
Veonira2006-07-13 18:47:47
Yeah, I like Shamarah's idea much better than just getting rid of them every once in a while. Just some quest that, while possible, is extremely difficult to pull off, but the rewards are monumental (destroying star/necromentate). And by difficult, I mean it takes the entire effort of the city, not just of about 5 or so people who "feel like doing it."
Unknown2006-07-13 18:49:18
I would also like it if the Elemental Lords were just a BIT harder to kill. It's really annoying when the CT is buzzing with "Ixion's at the Tide Lords" and we hear "DAMNIT! My wife and I were... well, nevermind..."

I'm not saying the Hart aspects aren't overpowered, I'm just saying I was pwned by False Memory, and I know people much weaker than me who solo the Rock Lords.

Maybe just if the Lords were slightly stronger in attacks, but monumentally increased in health so that it isn't viable for one person to get all of the Lords in one fell swoop without someone noticing. This would make taking out the Tide/Earth Lords a more planned attack than something spontaneously done: "Hrm.. What can I do? Oh, let's check the Earth Lords."
*one minute later*
ct All Earth Lords dead.

Yeah, and if they announced that they were being attacked on the CT or something. They're sentinent, they can do it!
Veonira2006-07-13 18:51:34
I'd like it if the lords/ladies called out for help on their respective guild channels and be buffed up a bit. For demons and angels, you can usually just check powerlogs occasionally to see, or even just go to Nil to see. Because the lords are in the mountains, you have to go to earth, go to the mountains, just to see if anyone's there. By the time anyone even realizes that someone is there, they're more than likely dead and the best you can do is at least try to kill the person who did it, which is difficult given that you're shifted all over the place.
On that note, I know this is something that depends a lot on the guild itself, and I don't know about Aquamancers, but I feel like we don't really have anything special for us, which is a major reason why I'd like the earth lords to be changed up a bit and more connected to the guild. The ur'Guard have Shallach and all that, and also now the new aetherbubble (and while both of these are not GREAT, it's something that adds to their history a bit at least), the Nihilists of course have the Demon Lords, and we have some earth lords who are obsessed with being empowered and that's it. That's my main motivation for wanting more interaction with them. My main idea would be if the respective guilds could somehow speak to a divine about how they would want their guild to interact (strictly roleplay) with their lords/ladies. Say we want to be able to perform a ritual and have them react to it, or have them talk about something related to the guild and what we felt they represented (ie: if a geomancer greeted them, or if some keyword was used, the lord/lady would discuss, say, the role of earth in combat), if that makes sense.
And now I'm going into extreme detail.

Hmmm... Just a random question. Is Gateweave in Planar effective if you skip over a Plane? Like, set up a Gate above the Pool of Stars to the Grotto of the Tide Lords, skipping over Ethereal? Would that work? I've yet to try.
