Confusion is awesome, it doubles equilibrium time.

What's great for love potion whores is using dysentery or vomiting illusions to make them sip and remove the love affect.
YA RLY
Easily ignored since you can't give the affliction for real.

I know they do scabbies, which is also really annoying in choke... for the shadowdancer too I love masked/semi-masked confusion, since it's hard to notice without a diag. At least to me, it is.
There is a way to detect confusion right off. If you want to know, ask Geb or anyone else who knows about it.

Can't use that trick in aeon

Can't use that trick in aeon
I do not have problems with Aeon, since it does have two possible cures. Right after I cure it, I conduct my hidden affliction tests. Also, besides the use of the artifact cat or fighting against a group, how in the world is someone giving you aeon and double whamming you at the same time? In 1vs1, If you are not curing aeon before the person is able to push the hexes or you are not curing the afflictions before aeon is given, then you have a general healing problem.

Choke.

Choke.
Choke is not Aeon, and it is also not easily mobile. When the person is starting to set up the place to keep you locked in for choke, the easy path is to leave the room.
If a person wants to fight in it, then a person will have to learn to delay his actions until he sees the previous action show up on his screen. So, it is still possible to detect if you have confusion in choke, because you can do the check right after you see the message for your own attack attempt, heal attempt, etc. Also, choke is a double edged sword. It is effecting the Shadowdancer just as much as it is effecting his victim. It is also extremely dangerous for a shadowdancer to set up choke in an enemy demesne. It is kind of like the same situation when Mages would try to use retardation against me as a Bard with Harmonics. They found out that they were helping me kill them, instead of hindering me.
Sylphas2006-07-26 03:05:50
True, but that IS a way to get the aeon effect and still doublewhammy at the same time.

Shorlen did NOT mention choke though, He mentioned Aeon. Again, there ARE differences between the two that I mentioned in my other post.

The same reason a person feels the need to use all caps to emphasize a word; I wanted too. Not like either are needed to make a point.
