I like Celest.

Many Old Fart Celestians that are practically inactive cling to old misconceptions and think they should turn Celest into Magnagora minus the Taint.

It does because someone asked a serious question about what our opinions are on the subject.

To be honest, I dont really like Celest but I think itd be hard to continue the story-line of the game without it because Celest, Magnagora and Serenwilde have all been there since the beginning and the game is still fairly young. Itd be hard to get rid of something everyone is so attached to, unless it was remade in another fashion but carried the skills over and the beliefs. People really do sometimes like the skills a lot.

I'm sick and tired of people bagging on Celest. Yes, we have our problems, but so does everyone. You all pick on us just to take snipes at people to bolster your own egos.

Which mis-conceptions?

I have my ups and down in Celest, first time I played, I played as Chariecar, a Paladin. Then I suicided and played as Iskan, he went on for 4 years then suicided also, then I created another named Lysandus, he's still there, asleep... Then I played as Diego, suicided after his love dumped him. Then now I'm Turgeis, still alive, still breathing, still fighting for Celest.

So all I can say is...

well in that case, Guadi and halifax should pop out of time, and then send Celest into time. That would be fun!

The contention appears to be that Celest's RP has polarized to the point where being moderate is not possible, and possibly to the point of no return. And while I would agree that the taint/non-taint thing is wearing thin and isn't going anywhere (partially BECAUSE the admins aren't going to remove an org) I don't think that getting rid of Celest would cause anything but grief for all involved.

Programming people, story people, design people, players, forum admins... and never mind the poor fool who's responsible for game balance.

The contention is that Celest's RP has left characters like Rauros' and Morik's characters behind, and they don't like it. Some other people too, but those people aren't present so I won't bother them.
