Hmm, it does appear I have found something that might work: tag along with nice people who will let me tag along, and hope not to get hit in the crossfire.

Here's a question. Do you have a system or are you just manual nexus-ing it? Or what? I can't for the life of me figure out how everything might be killing you. Unless of course you are typing everything by yourself, then of course all the above is possible.
If you in fact do not have a system. There are plenty of systems out there, Eth has one, vadi has one and there are a couple other people. There are even a few scripts I've seen in the mech section of the forums for simple things. The good systems cost credits, but if you can't afford that, at least get an auto-sipper off the forums. Or get a friend that loves coding, there are a lot of us that do.
Since you seem to be dismissing influence in it's entirety.
I'm going to assume you're either flat broke and can't afford bromides. In which case, there are plenty of ways to get gold without hunting or influencing. IE, killing rats, simple honours quests or even pilgrims, bards and monks. Which if you get all of them, can add up to a lot more than you might think if you collect them every time they pop.
Or you might not be that high in influence, in which case I'll still point you to tosha. I was begging from monks in tosha with only the skill begging for a long time before I shoved credits into the skillset. I even did guards with only compliments and admiration. Took forever and everyone stared at me. But I got my xp.
If ifluencing is still impossible, you do have a system and you just can't find a place to bash. Then I would suggest spectres. Yes, I said it.. spectres.. Magnagora won't appreciate it but I did spectres all the way to 80+ and it was still decent enough for me to keep doing it.
Aslaran/Krokani, although harder now that guards pop out and whack you, it is still possible. Run around and find rooms with only 1 aslaran or krokani in them, kill it. If some move into the room, you move out. If a guard pops up, you run and kill the guard. If multiple guards pop out, you hit, run and repeat until they are dead. This takes time, requires a lot of patience, but it's not impossible. Any area will support this tactic.
Naga, in the southern mountains, they arn't hard and they only afflict knockdown and asthma. Quints in the inner sea, again not that hard and you can sell them to lanikai. Think small things, ask around, maybe someone will buy them for gold. There is plenty of low level trash mobs just wandering around. Do this until you get high enough to do the big stuff.
Better yet, bother someone to hunt with you. Make a high level friend and jab em in the side. "I need gold, hoe!" It's worked for me quite a few times when my characters were lower level. Bashing in groups isn't that bad of xp and it's faster, lots of people love partners.
Another alternative that's been mentioned. Aethercraft. This is the noobs dream job. Practicly zero effort involved and hardly even any skill needed. Get siphon in Aethercraft and ride the collector to demigod. Yay for 16 year old demigods by the way!(Sarcasm). Turreting requires more skill in Aethercraft, people usually wont let you turret unless you're trans. That's cool, you don't need to turret, those people have to do something. If you need a script, a lot of us got a handy dandy plug-in that works for aetherbashing, we give that stuff away for free.
You arn't weaker than anyone else. I died and prayed a total of 5 times last week because nobody was around with my heartstone. I feel for you. But it only gets worse as you get higher, you lose more experience. It's best to develop the 'shrug it off' attitude after being ticked for a few minutes, then start over.
As per your question. I only have about 1k more than you with a few con add-ons. The level of your health is important, but it doesn't break your ability to bash. As a faeling with low con, the +sip balance pretty much makes me even. What race are you currently? Those kinds of things matter too. But also don't break your ability. It all depends on what mobs you're hitting.

I'm trying influence. But then I get killed and I lose what I gained in influence. And yes, I have compliments and admiration, so it takes a long time, and to lose all of what I gain makes it very frustrating.
And I don't understand what automation has to do when things are doing damage faster than my healing potions can recover.  When things can do over half my health in one hit... and do things like break my legs and keep me from escaping besides... well... I end up dying waiting around to be able to drink again.
Race? Elfen.

Automation has everything to do with bashing, combat and influencing. I'm not saying there arn't any successful manual people out there, but they are few and far between. Automation means you would of cured your legs in less than 1 second and ran before the thing attacked you again.
I'm not sure what it is exactly that you're bashing that knocks out half your health and breaks legs.. sounds like a cave-fisher? But stop hunting them. Not all mobs do that much damage. I don't think elfen sip balance is that dreadful, or even that long..
And how are you dying while influencing? The best influencing places have no aggressive mobs.. no death involved. Unless you're just an extremely unlucky person and die constantly by running around? Avoid hostile places that would cause your demise is really all I can say.
Trail and error is the meaning of life. It also applies to this game as well. Make mistakes, learn and don't make them again. That mob too hard? Find something else. There -are- things that even you can bash decently without dying.

Hi Aymee, I noticed you are in my guild and I did follow the hunting guide in the Pyromancers with success. I am level 76, but I have a bit more constitution than you as a human. Automation can play a big role, I was able to buy m&m and my hunting ability improved greatly. For example I can concentrate on casting reflection at myself while low on health instead of also worrying about sipping health since I will (hopefully) do that automatically.
If you need a hunting partner just ask me in game and I can do my best to show you what I do or just give you a hand in where you go. I am just mythical pyromancy, some telekinesis and influence and haven't had a lot of trouble.
Can also opt to just choose to fight things that can't break pentagrams, as long as they don't kill you in two hits you can blast them with your staff, then shield after two hits, sip health, and blast again until they die. Slow, but safe in most cases!

Stop trying to hunt cave fishers....
Calixa2011-10-26 11:26:08
Hrm, pyromancers have access to reflections, right? I've been able to sneak into the prison as level 60. Ofc, it absorbs just one hit, but it was all I needed, being speedy enough with numpad movement.
Also, demesne stuff, I have absolutely no clue here but from what i understand you can teleport with it? Not sure if it is possible to demesne a good influencing area and then teleport to it to bypass all the stuff that kills you.

Calixa:Are reflections in illusions? I think I have something like 5 lessons in that. And of course, I'm out of lessons... Hmm.

It's only 14 lessons in, you can comment on an article in the IRE website for a free credit per day, did you follow the lesson plan in the Pyromancer's help files? I can't quite see how you are having so much trouble with hunting since you have bodyguard in beastmastery, and I make do with just sipping health and running out of the room when in trouble or casting reflection :/

Estellise:By the time I came to Gaudiguch I didn't have the lessons to spare to pump into Illusions. I guess the next batch I get I'll hold off my rush to forcefield (Which is going to take a long, long time) to get to reflections first.Until then, Operation Tag Along with Strong People is fully in effect. If I don't die, then influencing will work.
