I feel like I've asked this before, but I must check again... by how much do the influence great runes affect your influencing? Let's say at 19 charisma, does it cut down influences by 1 or 2 'attacks'?

Depends how much cha I have sometimes, but generally only by 1 attack.

Ah I see, I guess 2 would've been too much wishful thinking. Thanks!

One attack still makes a huge difference.

All right... now I can't decide whether the rune of charity or rune of empowerment is more worthwhile. I'm currently doing just charity in tosha and kephera hives, but the kephera are weaker against empowering and they give more exp (empower reduces the attacks by 2 compared to charity). Current goal is to gain experience as efficiently as possible, gold is lesser priority. But still I can't decide... some firsthand experienced advice would be helpful =)

influencing runes are really not worth the cost (which is saying a lot since they are cheap)

wait until the next dingbats and get one of those hats
Unknown2008-08-23 14:52:08
Aah now that's something I never considered. The hat is just that good eh? And I didn't think 100 cr for the runes were too bad, but I'll take your word for it heh.
Xiel2008-08-24 09:03:54
Or...you can get both the hat AND the charity rune and eat them all up. thumup.gif

See I hear from people who do influence like hours and hours on end that the runes are amazing...
Unknown2008-08-24 18:16:26
With a rune, I did notice a difference of one or two fewer rounds. Add a Karma Blessing of Beauty and it's pretty nice. (Faeling charisma.)
Kelysa2008-08-24 22:10:40
one or two fewer rounds over hours of influencing is super significant.

there are things that cause better bonuses that nullify the effects of the runes, but whatever floats your boat
Kelysa2008-08-26 21:33:49
You should explain yourself there, Anisu...

RAVE RAVE!

It lessened attacks on warriors by THREE(3) hits and to workers by TWO(2)..

Niceee!

EDIT: talking about charismaticaura of course
Moiraine2008-08-28 13:33:21
I thought charismaticaura protected you from disloyalty or something. Does training higher in influence passively make attacks stronger? suspicious.gif

It used to protect you from disloyalty, but now it only does that somewhat. Instead it just flat out makes influence better.

Necro (sorry guys biggrin.gif)

I know this question has been asked before, but I'm too lazy to go look for it.

It's generally agreed upon that influencing is a much faster way to gain exp at lower levels. But it higher levels, it becomes faster to bash because of crits.

What point do you make the switch?

Asylum quest, the good side: Bugged?
Presidio quest: Bugged?

Confirmation would be great.
Rika2009-04-06 07:10:38
Asylum quest: Everyone but the admin recognises that this is bugged (or so I have heard from bug reports).

Presidio: I finished it relatively recently. PM me what you think is bugged about it.

Necro.

Can somebody list the aetherbubbles in order of bashing difficulty/value, for those of us trying to get (back) into it?

Also, why doesn't Elryn's prime aetherspace map have labels on the bubbles sad.gif
Unknown2009-07-29 11:04:24
Some questions:

1. So we have Tosha and the Kephera hives as good bashing/influencing areas on prime. Are there any other influencing areas of equivalent quality?

2. Are those influencing runes still sold? Cause I can't find them in the help files confused.gif

3. Not completely on topic, but how does one get clothes that decrease your prestige below normal for charity attacks?
