I didn't realize scrolls worked on their own balance. I have four enchantments currently — Mercy, Beauty, Perfection, and Waterwalk — but I definitely need to pick up Kingdom, as well as Acquisitio, Levitate, and Waterbreathing. I already have my own Deathsense skill. Using triggers and aliases to GET items seems to work just fine, but I have to redo them for each area, and I assume (?) Acquisitio doesn't require equilibrium (GET does).

Also, how can I check which herb is currently a "faux-sparkle"?

Thank you all for the excellent advice! I'm glad I posted, this should help me quite a bit.

Go to the Seal of Knowledge and touch it. It's currently Coltsfoot though, and has been for quite a while now. Also, Demis and Ascendants can check it for you, if you find someone who's friendly enough.

Deathsight is different from deathsense. It tells you where someone died. But it's hardly a crucial defense, so you don't need to get it.

Nyxx has bled to death. <--- deathsense
You see the death occur at near leafless trees covered in webs. <--- deathsight

There are regularly periods where coltsfoot is not blessed, so you wouldn't want to depend on it without checking. But they are cheap, so you can just eat one to check!

Yeah, that's basically how I do it. Then again, I'm an herbalist so I get them all for free anyway ninja.gif

Acquisitio picks up the corpses as soon as you kill the mob. It also picks up items in the room every so often.

Unfortunately demis and ascendants are, by their very natures, unfriendly, and it is difficult to get them to check.

Where are you living? Mag, Celest, Gaudiguch, Glomdoring, Serenwilde, and Hallifax all have friendly demis...

He's Mag.

He is also a Demi.
Rika2010-04-10 00:28:38
Those Mag demis. So mean and nasty.
Kiradawea2010-04-13 10:29:02
Acquisitio only triggers when you have balance or equilibrium though, just so you know that. Except, of course, for corpses, where it triggers immediately if you killed it.

A bunch of new areas have opened up during a period when I was gone, so I'm just wondering now... what's a good place to go hunting for level 85+. I'm still too fragile to bash linked astral creatures without dying from time to time (thereby negating the exp gain). I know aetherhunting is decent too, but takes a lot of people and time to set up. Tosha/UV runs are getting boring and now they're cleared out more often too. Thanks in advance.
Calixa2010-08-10 10:58:25
Shou, I am facing the same issue at level 78, and I changed my strategy to simply earning as much gold as possible rather than focus on exp so I can buy credits and invest in skills that make me less squishy.

I've been looking for Tosha myself, but when I am at where the entrance should be on the map I can't find any way to enter. What am I missing?

PUSH ROCK.

I have to agree with Shou...I don't know what I'm doing or where I should be doing it at:

I want to get to Demi, not for the extra buff that you'd get, but really just for reaching the milestone and then hoarding essence. I'm the kind of guy who likes to build rather than destroy (I prefer Settlers of Catan to RISK if you know what I mean). I just want to get there for the RP things as well. I hardly go raid, if at all nowadays, or defend.

So here's my block from getting to level 100:

1. It's slow. It's probably my choice of bashing/influence areas. I tend to influence archons and angels on Celestia and occasionally hit Astral. However, I find Astral mostly empty and awkward with the spheres. Not to mention I get occasionally jumped. I don't do UV because every single time I have been in there I have died and dying on Prime sucks butt.

2. Every time I die, I get disheartened and I give it the finger.

3. I don't know why I don't get quests.

I'm level 82 at the mo.

So any suggestions?

The lack of response makes me think there is no hope Arin =( Gotta learn aetherbashing and jump on board.
Unknown2010-08-13 11:01:07
Everything pales in comparison to aetherbashing.

Archons and angels on Celestia won't get you far. There are only so many of those. Or rather so few.

What you want to be able to do is hunt/influence fluently. Don't hunt or influence things that put you at a more than minimal risk of dying or being shattered, don't waste much time travelling, try finding hunting grounds with a moderate amount of creatures and find out what hunting areas aren't overrun constantly (like gorgogs are). Hunt/influence for more than just a few minutes at a time. That way, you'll notice some progress.

I've noticed most areas I hunt in at 78 give me 5% experience on a full run, which is not exactly much. Chaining areas would work, but then there is the issue of vial refills. Using about 3-5 vials per area I'm not sure if I should just get more vials or not. Would it be considered odd to carry 20 of them rather than the 5 I got now? Or should I just get a keg and carry that around with me?

I'm 78 right now, and I am doing areas that give me 3% each (though I bounce between them, so it's fairly uninterrupted). Anyways, I have been carrying 10 healing vials since I bought a potion other than healing or mana. I also started carrying a keg around level 72 or so. I don't want to say 'If you are serious about bashing at this level, get a keg.' or anything that sounds like I know what I am talking about, but if you bash like I do and are pretty serious about it I HIGHLY recommend it.

Edit: I guess it also depends on your class. If you have defs coming out your ears, or some really high regeneration, it probably matters less.
