Possibility of "maneuvers" was suggested. This would allow warriors to
determine which afflictions within a range they wish to attempt for. For
example, I could do a maneuver called "lungattack" which would strike at
their chest with an attempt for one of two wounds: collapselungs or
puncturelung. Currently, a chest attack would select from heartpierce,
collapselungs, puncture chest, or puncture lung. There would not be a
higher chance to get an affliction in general, but there would be a much
higher chance to get a collapselungs, due to the fact that it will not
hit with a puncture chest.

Two handed weapons won't be looked at until after maneuvers have had
more thought.

(My notes from the warrior summit. It was run on a time limit with a strict agenda and no going off topic.)

I really wish they would look at the pre-existing problems before adding in a whole new way to fight. Maneuvers may be useful to a BM or BC, but to a PB the only thing we could use it for right now would be a TendonAttack and can you imagine the complaints when we severtendon every time we hit you? That would lead to PB's being nerfed even more than they are now. I just wish they balanced out ALL warriors before implementing something that although may be neat and useful, may still make PB's and AL's for that matter, just as unbalanced as they are now compared to the rest of the Warrior fighting styles.

It wouldn't be every time you hit- it just means that you could do sever tendon instead of amputate if you wanted. If the roll isn't high enough for a heavy, then there would be no affliction at all.

As for looking at pre-existing problems... there's a bit more to it than Roark simply changing things, unfortunately. He's trying, but I have no idea when it will succeed (or even if it will). We did spend some time trying to discuss the problem.

There's just no further we can go at the moment along those lines, until something changes.

I'd also suggest perhaps having two poisons come off at once when poison procs for a two-hander. I really don't feel like figuring out the math with that, though.

I did not suggest a double poison proc because I felt that it would require a bit of complex coding to create and balance. The only way I could see it being possible and balanced is by leaving the Two Hander poison affliction rate the same, but allowing the weapon two separate chances to proc a poison in one successful attack.

By all means I am very happy to know that Roark is working on this. I had a feeling that warriors in general were his baby, and I am glad he is trying to make a change in things. I do hope that the "something" that needs to change will in fact work out so that Roark can continue his crusade to try and balance us out. I am happy to have such people backing us. blush.gif Thanks Roark blush.gif
