PERFORM PERSONA (number) (hella long EQ, like 20 seconds, and really, really obvious message)
PERSONA LIST
PERSONA ADD
PERSONA EDIT
PERSONA REMOVE

You are trained enough in the ways of dramatics that you can act as someone else entirely. You can create up to 5 personas and may adopt one of them at any time. The persona will simply change your name and title in LOOK, WHO, SAY, and EMOTE. Your persona is essentially an entirely new person: anyone who attempts to HONORS a persona will see a generic honors profile with an age set by you previously. While under a persona, any abilities (emotes, offensive abilities) that target a person must be set to your persona's name, though location abilities such as scry or window will reveal your location. Changing personas, however, is extremely taxing on the mind and can only be done once every ten minutes, although you can end the performance at any time.

I'm not Trans Dramatics yet, so I'm not entirely sure if a skill like this exists, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't. The idea behind this is to allow people to disguise themselves as completely different, nonexsisting characters. I don't feel that this would unbalance combat at all: at once every 10 minutes, for 10 power, and with a heavy EQ time and an obvious message, changing personas mid-combat would cost you dearly for the few seconds in which your opponent would have to change his target. Skills like chasm would still go off, because the ground's opening up beneath you and all and it's hard to stop it. I can see exactly two advantages: getting the jump on someone by appearing to be a random newbie, or running away into a crowd and disguising yourself while you heal.

This would definitely increse the RP value of the skill, even moreso than an ability to simply make yourself look like "a wizened old man" in says and emotes only. And, since the persona is just as targettable as the real person, changing the LOOK and WHO descriptions would not really have any effect at all on the ability to hit something. In fact, I would say that "A wizened old man shuffles in from the west." is more confusing to a combatant (who would then have to look and acquire the target) than having a person with a different name walk in. Plus, if we don't allow existing character names to be chosen (the personas would essentially register a name in the database, and make sure it doesn't already exist), there would be little chance of someone succesfully imitating an established character.

I'm well open to fine-tuning this, but it's definitely something I'd like to see in Dramatics. Oh, and if such a skill already exists (skill list not on LusterWiki yet sad.gif ), please ignore my late (late late late) night ramblings and lock the thread.

I don't like that it would register a name in the database. Everyone this high in dramatics would have the ability to take up 6 name slots instead of one. Not a good thing. Newbies need names too.

Apart from that, I honestly think that Soll's idea works better. Sorry. This one is a bit too much, and doesn't allow for as many RP opportunities.
