Zenji's entirely correct.

The personas of Viravain, Fain, Terentia, Estarra (Though, to a notably less extent), etc, are IC Gods and Goddesses. While you understand the meeting is OOC, can you truly say with certainty that you wouldn't bias something said based on who said it?

This is the same reason an Administrator such as the Norns will deal with an Issue, and the Charities will deal with designs and so forth.

We have a rather tough job. We do it because we care and want to make things go smoothly.

While frustration is in no means a bad thing, calling us out as if we're trying to 'hide' because we're 'ruining the game', is rather rude.

Good night. smile.gif

Terentia doesn't post much, but every time She does I feel more and more impressed.

Almost makes me want to go to Celest.

I'm just saying your nuts if you think the admin are trying to pull a fast one over the players by "pretending" to listen.

They are listening. They are using player ideas and their own vision of the game to change things. The entire -reason- there was a Faethorn summit was because of player complaints.

EDIT: And yes, Hazar, Terentia = the awesome.

They're not trying to ruin the game. And some of us DON'T like conflict quests. So keep in mind that they're trying to maintain the delicate balance between many, many differing viewpoints and personalities as to what to do with the game. They came up with what they, as Administrators and people who compared to you guys, HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS, are willing to work on, and I think you should stop complaining and be happy they were even asking in the first place.

Edit: Yeah, yeah, I know I'm slow. rolleyes.gif

In what world is "Remove all Conflict quests!" a balance between the large percentage of people who like them, and the smaller percentage of people who don't?

read my post in the other thread... Firstly, they did not REMOVE ALL conflict quests. Secondly, they could have done much worse things, such as made Avencha give everybody in the game the peaced affliction and grace for the next 30 RL days.

The truth is, it seems like they are only removing quests that directly affect the power output of competeing orgs.

Perhaps this is done to help give players incentives to not block every novice from taking power.

a little bit of topic, bu you canb tell that The Furies were either Estarra or Fain halo.gif
Hazar2006-07-23 19:43:30
My money would be on Fain.
Sylphas2006-07-23 21:27:23
Novices have no need of power. The only power skills our novices can use are Guard and Nature, and not many use Nature even WITH power. Guardians lose what, Quickening?

The point isn't the power, it's more that novices couldn't quest for sand/spectres and such.
Daganev2006-07-24 00:12:56
Actually I thought the furies were just Estarra... but who knows.

It doesn't matter if novices need power. Its a concept, sort of like why Achaea got rid of guilds and stuck in houses.

But in either case, I wasn't actually suggesting that was the reason, I was pointing out that there could be other factors that are not so obvious that are part of the decision making process.
