Get over it.
One of your typical replies. If a weaker person challenges you, you jump at the chance. For people whom you are not certain to defeat, you seek to ignore or downplay the challenge. You will never be as good as you think you are, if you are unwilling to actually accept challenges from those you are uncertain about defeating.

I dueled Amaru this week actually. Get off your high horse in acting like you command wisdom and perspective from above. You know little about what I do, and even less about me. Again, get over it.

Where did I say or imply I command wisdom and perspective? We are talking about a game, not about real life issues. I know that I am not the best at what I do in this game. I also do not try to act like I am such whiles chasing down people I know will lose against me. You do exhibit a propensity to do that.
Anyhow I am surprised to hear that you dueled Amaru. I doubt you won though, since you did not post it. Would not be anything to notice if you never posted your duels (wins or losses), but I’ve noticed that you seem to rarely, if ever, post your defeats.
Ok, I will leave you alone now.

oh as ive noticed this thread has gone on a bit of a tangent....this thread wasnt to insult ixion or annoy him or blame him or compliment him. it was just to show what he is able to do (insane damage and wounding at high speeds to other knights)

And Amaru won. With Judgement.

AAAAAHHH! Judgement!!!! -cowers in the corner- I hate it when that happens -mutters about judgement-
Soll2006-07-24 13:14:34
Amaru's been using Judgement a lot lately.

Amaru has always been able to take something others feel is not that great, and find a way to use it. He has an insufferable ego sometimes, but he truly is very good at what he does.

Wait, Judge not that great? It's Judge like Imperian Clerics have, only not stopped by prone and stun. No setup like soulless either. It's a very useful ability, effective too.
Shamarah2006-07-24 16:50:27
It costs 5p, though, which is the main problem with it.

Judgement is stopped by webs, paralysis, broken arm, severed nerve, impale, pinleg, pacify, lust, force an action, etc. Really, judgement is one of the easiest insta-kills to stop. It is also a very expensive insta-kill, so if you stop it you just forced the person to waste 5 power. I would have thought you knew how easy it is to avoid?

Amaru's nothing without his Handmaiden. Shut yo mouf.

It's not stopped by lust.
Of course I know it's easy to stop in a one vs one situation. That however, does not make it useless. It's still a good skill. It has no setup and can be thrown at any time, making it ideal for group combat. It's messages can't be seen while blacked out, so you can use the ability now that angels afflict in order, to block the first message. Also to my knowledge hindering does not stop it after the next to last message. So you could judge when you angel cycles to vapors, hiding the first message, then the second message shows, but by then it's almost to late to stop.

It is stopped by the affliction that gives "You love such and such too much to harm him". Now that is love or lust, I get them mixed up sometimes. Anyhow, so if the blackout hits, web him. Also, pretty much any timed insta-kill like cleave and judgement is good for group combat, if the person does not have himself set up to switch targets right after the first message is received or the person is hindered by the rest of the opposing group.
Blackout does make anything a bit better, but an astute person assumes that his opponent is going to try to sneak in an insta-kill at those moments. Only two insta-kills off the top of my head actually benefit greatly from blackout, and those are soulless and to a lesser degree chasm (since most archetypes but warriors have surefire ways of stopping it).

That's love as in the galingale cure, for reference.

Thank you. I have no clue why I can't seem to get that memorized. Then again, that is probably why I make sure my system works so well for me, since my memory for healing details is sometimes faulty.

So basically Judgment is a chasm without the need of tainted earth. Y'all, stop complaining about chasm.

No, it's not. Judgement has three messages while chasm has only two, and judgement is stopped by anything that prevents attacking (web, paralysis, prone, etc) whereas chasm is stopped only by love and peace.
Ekard2006-07-25 13:04:35
And chasm is 3 power where judge is 5 power.
