I think I'm pretty darn cool, and I play .
Then again, I've always had a warped opinion of things. I'll go back to my little indie clubs and jump around now .

Right. If I'm a loner and a hermit, then how exactly am I taking up your air?
Just because I don't play with the "in crowd" doesn't make my loyal friends any less loyal.
And no one who plays Lusternia could be mistaken for being part of the "in crowd" in real life. Does that mean there's no place for any of us, and we should all just "go away"? Shuffle off the mortal coil?
Go ahead and hate me for being an outsider, and marinate all the while in your own hypocrisy.
Blatant trolling. And from the looks of it, everyone ate it up.

I would like to make a collection of Exarius's posts which explain in painful detail all the reasons why Lusternia is not the MUD for him, and then post them all in a row, followed by just one with him bragging about how he has stayed after others have left. I think that would be amusing.

Gosh, Gwylifar, you're right. I'm just going to stop playing MUDs entirely until they finally make the one I think is utterly perfect.
Gwylifar2006-07-28 16:06:15
So what you're saying is, despite the fact that every one of the most fundamental design decisions in Lusternia's creation is on your list of worst things to do in designing a MUD, it is nevertheless the single best MUD you could find in the entire world?
I guess cartographers are just like cobblers.

Just out of curiosity, but why is it that quite a few people attack Exarius whenever he posts? If you don't like him and feel like insulting him, then don't post. What's the point to it? PM him for christ sake, because some people do not want to see a huge arugement break out.

I was perfectly fine with him until he brought his fit IC.
And yes, that was very bad. My ears are bleeding, and I only read it. That's how bad it was.

I have no problem with Exarius (or Gwylifar for that matter). I agree with some things and disagree with others.
I just had to use the "catfight" statement though to describe Gywlifar and Exarius' back and forth though...been waiting for the right moment.

You're making generalizations based on the people you interact with.
Pretty much. We're a very diverse group of people.

Yep. Though, I did have to agree with most or all of his original post.

Because some of us think he deserves it. This is the guy who framed me for plagerism, after all, to maintain his monopoly on official catrography for Lusternia. He even sent me a mocking email that said, "Verbal consent isn't transfer of copyright," meaning, "I told you that you could do something and that it was fine but by law I can still screw you and so I have! Hahaha, you fell for it!"
He also freely admits to getting a personal thrill out of being hated by people he hates, and doing anything he can to facilitate this hatred, trolling and flaming and the like. So, while we have just cause to attack him, it only feeds his perverse masochism, so I actually do recommend we stop.
