"I do not in particular desire it to be there" doesn't say that you don't desire it. It doesn't even really imply it. All it says and implies is that she doesn't WANT it to be there - it doesn't say anything about whether she wants it NOT to be there or simply doesn't care either way, so you'd assume the latter by default.
To quote you, "All it says and implies is that she doesn't want it to be there," removing the capitalization on the word "want". If you don't desire something to be present... then having it not be there would be a Good Thing.
And as to your edit... I already said earlier that I could see how you could read it the other way. I also said that's not how it was interpreted. So... I don't know.
Regardless of the semantics or how the sentence can be interpreted... Xavius' original post still stands. 1) The Fae are ignored, often and repeatedly. 2) The Faethorn change is on the horizon (though I have to say I'm kind of wondering where it is). 3) There have definitely been events in the past where NPCs have said, "We don't like how you're treating us!"

No. No no no. I don't want this to be the crux of the new arrangement. We're going to end up thrown into a rut as the savior of the fae. I would rather not get permanently typecast as that!

It depends on her tone of voice, donchaknow....

Nature believes in diversity, qauntity over quality, and evolution wins! Evolution only works in large populations you know...
