Subj: Dross Power: The 15 Percent Solution
There is a new update to power, called "dross power". Every nexus has
almost unlimited dross power, but you can only draw it when you are at
very low reserves. The way it works is that everyone may draw up to 15%
dross power every Lusternian month. You may only draw dross power if
your power reserves are under 15% and you can only draw dross up to 15%.
You can never be blocked from drawing dross so long as you are a citizen
of a city or member of a commune.
Penned by My hand on the 11th of Avechary, in the year 153 CE.
Hmm. Not sure what this is supposed to address, but looks nice enough I guess.

It's to prevent people from being stingy to novices with powerblocking, I guess.
Xenthos2006-07-30 03:11:09
I guess it means if you run out of power, you can draw a bit more without being powerblocked..?
Esano2006-07-30 03:13:47
Personally, I wonder what "almost unlimited" means. Are we going to run out?
Unknown2006-07-30 03:15:44
It's to prevent people from being stingy with power. It gives novices an instant reserve, and prevents them from having to seek out a powerminister each time.
Forren2006-07-30 03:26:08
Seems more like a way to make nexus power less important.
Verithrax2006-07-30 03:29:40
Nexus power hasn't been important for months.

It's only theoretically important to begin with. And keep in mind you can only draw when below 15%. If anything I might be inclined to think that this is one step towards making Nexus power MORE important, by giving more things to do with it and reduce other people's. Without crippling them. Maybe.
Verithrax2006-07-30 03:34:30
AT least it'll stop people from bitchign about how hard it is to put up their defenses.
Unknown2006-07-30 04:35:31
OMFG I this
This is great for all the novices and the power lowbies who don't spend that much power to begin with and just draw very little.
This seems that it was made for me. I don't have to feel guilty about not putting power back to nexus for my mini draws

Power is now unlimited. As long as you refill often you'll never need to cost your nexus power ever again, unless you're the type of person that uses up gigantic amounts at once, but that's only a handful of dedicated fighters.
So, power is now nothing but a worthless number. Hopefully something new gets added that uses it, to make up for this.
All I CAN SAY IS: HAHAHA NOW YOU CAN'T BE RACISTS AND STOP ME FROM DRAWING POWER CELEST HAHAHA I OUGHT TO MAKE A VISCANTI PALADIN RIGHT NOW JUST TO PISS YOU ALL OFF.
*cough*
Seriously though, I strongly suggest limited this to 15% reserves/month. It's so deliciously abuseable right now...

It already is, if you read closely.

dross power every Lusternian month.
Seems like that part's included too...

Oh yeah. Who ninja'd Shiri? Who ninja'd Shiri?!
Veonira2006-07-30 04:45:08
Yeah, that's a bit annoying, since Merians and Elfens are banned from power in Magnagora. Guess we'll just have to keep an eye on them.
Unknown2006-07-30 04:46:34
No, it isn't limited to 15%/month. I drew 15%, sipped vitae and summoned my angel, then drew back up to 15%.

Then that would be a bug, and should be reported as such, using the proper in-game channels.

Darn it.

OI! I didn't notice that!
Maybe I should delete that first post.
