I was going to make a bad pun in the subtitle, but I'll keep this clean.
Astroglide lets astrologers travel to the sphere connected with their home, but they have no way of getting down. I think it would be reasonable to allow astrologers to travel down from their own sphere also. At the moment, the only people from Serenwilde who can go to Astral are those with access to cubixes, or those that Magnagora does not hate.

Daganev2006-08-04 03:13:15
Where would you glide down to?
I think thats the only reason it doesn't allreayd do that.

The nexus seems like a logical place to me.

Besides the bad pun.... which is available in most pharmacies.... Isn't astroglide the command during wildnodes to get to astral?
Daganev2006-08-04 03:26:59
Yes, during wildnodes everyone gets the astralglide command.

Cities don't generally need it, though. And it costs 5 power per use.

Astroglide is a lubricant. Like KY
Unknown2006-08-04 03:32:00
It's normally an astrologer only ability, but yes, everyone gets it during wildnodes.
Oh and the puns involve the fact that astroglide is a brand of lube.

Serens don't have access to Astral for a very good reason. Sorry.

Which reason is that? You can't quote history, changes have been that go against history made to facilitate players. Why should this situation be different?
If Serens weren't meant to be on Astral then Wildnodes would not include Serenwilde and we would not have a sphere linked to us.
Kharvik2006-08-04 11:43:42
Well, you could always use rifts to get from prime to ethereal to one of the cosmic planes. Then from there go one room away from the nexus, and enter something like "NE;TRANSVERSE ASTRAL" and hope the guards dont hit you first... which they most likely wouldn't.

They would just take the rifts down. It takes 15 minutes to put them up. (It takes 30 minutes to put them down, but obviously it's their home plan so it's quite a different matter.)

...is that...a lizard leprechaun impaling a fish on his walking stick?
Diamondais2006-08-04 12:59:21
What does that have to do with anything?
The reasoning behind us not getting an easy access to Astral is because were Communes, we only like the nice and natural stuff. Or ourselves.
