But Shiri otherwise got the only other thing Ive noticed. Drink Fire for defense when on bad terms with Celest.

I figured out that much. It wasn't his frosty effect that killed me though, so it's not the case.

You shouldn't be eating sparkleberries or sipping health right when you see the burst message. Track the number of approximate vessels and just sip/eat on balance.

I do that already. Drinking at bursting is an additional security option. It's not that sipping resets the health/mana/ego timer... (if it does, I am a noob).

Did you notice Stagar's little insults throughout that entire log? This duel took place right after Stagar taunted me and I decided to chase him around the aetherplex rooms.

There were some times in that log when it doesn't look like you're always focusing body when you get the throatlock message. Do you focus body while in blackout?

Dont do that, you just need to work with your system a bit more. Everyone losses from time to time and a lot of people have trouble lasting as long as you.

At that, I am not focusing when blackouted either. Need to fix that. :/

Don't use protection scroll mid-combat, it's a waste of eq and doesn't hinder the mage at all.

I have no idea how feasible this would be with your low mana, but I find attempting to focus body on choke to remove throat lock (as the combo is to blackout then throat lock, forcing you to focus on the secondary message and thus losing time) to be quite beneficial.

I had an anti throatlock trigger... two, actually. And of course, because it's MUSHclient, if there are two triggers working on the same input syntax, none of them work.

Not that it matters anymore. I'd have sucked hard anyway.

The big thing you did wrong is you had little to no strategy aside from try to hit head or try to hit legs. You could of hit his gut, his arms anything to move his parry stance from head and legs(which is all he did) THEN you hit them targets. Other then that I suggest getting a time stamp so you can see how long it is inbetween affliction messages and cures setting off. Now, quit whining like a little girl and learn to fight better.

Come on, don't be like that. I know how you feel, to be honest your healing is even better than mine at the moment . Just keep on trucking, don't let something like one loss get to you. Just look at it, learn from it. You've gotten a LOT of great tips here, and you can't expect to be an awesome fighter in just a few fights. Forren is a good fighter, too. Maybe if a novice managed to kill you easily I'd get a little worried .
