This is the beautiful part about music. I hope nobody takes anything personal here: except this NICKELBACK SUCKS. Everyone can have their own opinions about a genre and CD. I personally think Lonesome was by far the best album by Modest Mouse, followed by Good News. Incidently Moon and Antarctica had Gravity Rides Everything which was featured in a Honda minivan commercial.
Now back to Punk. How can you say the Sex Pistols and the Clash weren't punk? I can trace every single Punk band, whether Hardcore, Anarchist, or Revival back to at least one of these four bands: Ramones, Clash and Sex Pistols, and to a lesser but still important extent the Buzzcocks. Though personally I would say that The Stooges were the first Punk band.

oh yeah. I remember that... When I heard Gravity Rides Everything for the first time it got me back to those summer days watching friends re-runs on NBC at 5 pm back in the 2003 or something. The good ol' times
The Lonesome crouded west is my second favorite EDIT - Long Drive has a tie with Lonesome, but the Moon and Antartica struck me more and still makes me happy inside... Stars are projectors are awesome. Even my brother who has heard Modest mouse always ask me what I'm listening when he hears Stars are projectors (he's a musician)
Just because I like to give him some help, go here

he's the one with the glasses and the goatee. The girl is his girlfriend. The guy with the short hair and glasses is the basist and the other dude is the drumer
and Nickleback SUCKS indeed
PS: Live Middle school and High school at your fullest. You'll miss it if you don't... I do
