I think I've found a possible problem. If I read the announce correctly, only illusions cast on others should have a longer eq time, however I've discovered while using them on myself that the time has increased significantly. Am I just going crazy and thinking it's longer, or was it actually changed to be longer even when cast on yourself, or is it a bug? I've bugged it in game just in case.
Genos2006-08-07 00:29:37
Does it still make two reflections of other people when you cast it on them?

Think it is only reflections in illusions
-Reflections in illusions when cast on another will have an increased
equilibrium time.
So illusions haven't in general been given longer eq time... just the reflections... so it is harder to reflect for someone while bashing lets say a Manifestation.

Yeah...but I'm casting it on myself. The announce says on another.

This makes it, well, absolutely useless. (This would be more effective with time stamps, but I don't have the ability to do that. But normally I would easily be able to reflect myself again before they could get in another attack.)

The maneuver change is, after first look, interesting to say the least. I've done a fair amount of in and out of combat testing at this point, so I'll post a few comments.
-Goodness it is spammy for one handers. Yay for the gag reflex.
-The drawback on maneuvers is not negligable.
-I only see one scenario where it makes something too strong, but as there is only one BC I would consider skilled, I doubt we'll see it happen. To address Narsrim's post about pinleg, it isn't OP. It is good yes but there is a surefire way to prevent pinleg locking. Those who believe pinleg with this change is too good I can most assuredly assume that they don't know enough about the skill as to how to prevent being locked by it.
-Am rather annoyed that collapsed lung is broken, when it finally became at the very least feasible in BM combat.
-Still annoyed that lunges can, and rather often do, miss.
-All in all it looks pretty neat, and will be fun to play, assuming the horrendous server lag gets fixed.
-Best part about the change as I see it at this point in time: makes higher wound afflictions more viable.
-Worst part thus far as I see it: Can actually be a detriment in some situations.
====================================================
The new druid skill... just ........ wow is it nice. I personally think it's too strong in its current form. One druid + anyone who can web = pretty much screwed opponent. In and outside of demesne, it's amazing.

I don't suppose either the Hartstone or Serenguard Envoy could get a command so that the user of GORE can do something to un-impale their target? Cause.. currently, if you stick someone with Impale, they can just sit there and you're stuck. At least as far as I know. Unless something was changed silently?

See his gut attack right before that? It looks like he only had one weapon stuck in you, rended three times for some reason, and then you writhed. The rend wasn't removing the weapon, meaning that someone could just spam-rend at the moment and give 50,000 bleeding at once.
Which would be... a bug. BUG it!

You probably can't get huge damage huge speed weapons, but if you're willing to sacrifice precision, it shouldn't be hard to get high damage weapons near the speed cap for the weapon type, and the same with high speed weapons with damage as high as possible.

With damage weapons, people allready do that... thats the point of Damage weapons.
As for rapier and hammers, I think the max damage is about 100.
Sylphas2006-08-07 05:11:31
Yes, and now damage weapons don't have quite the drawback, since maneuvers will make up at least a bit of the precision loss.

If you think that, you don't quite understand how maneuvers work. They still require wounding levels - so nothing changes precision-wise, and the warrior affliction rate was still dependant on DEXTERITY, not precision - so once again, nothing changes precision-wise.
Niente2006-08-07 10:46:17
As far as I can see, Cuber is right. The maneuver ability does not significantly improve Ixion's ability to pinleg, it just means that he won't get other afflictions on pre-pinleg strikes. I can see this creating havoc for those unfortunate souls who use wound afflictions to track wounding.
