I've beaten Link's Awakening like five times, never ran into that problem. :S

You really only run into it if you save and stop playing during that dungeon or are just an idiot about the whole place. Ive done both.

Now ign says the wii might be $170, given current exchange rates...
the article is here

But it also says that info will be given in September, so september 2nd as a release date may be a bit off...

Quoted For Agreement.

Also, Wii scores extra points for the estimated $50 price tag on games rather than $60 like the other systems.

The game price tag has nothing to do with nintendo folks, it's the developers. These games cost a heck of a lot to make (A list games are in the millions). It's like why people bitch about pharmacy companies, because thier drugs are expensive. It's the research, creation, and production that gets you.

Except you don't need video games to survive. And by you, I mean you, I didn't include me. I do.

Because I am interested in the Wii and upcomming games? But I find speculation about its release date and price pretty darn silly.

Not entirely true.

Nintendo Could put a price minimum on the games if they wanted to.
Richter2006-08-16 06:34:21
I could also learn how to fly.

No one puts a minimum on there, as far as I know. Know that Table Tennis game Rockstar put out? $40. Etc.

Downloaded the demo to Ninety-nine nights, and it is lots of fun. Couple things kinda piss me off. Camera is kind of a pain, one point the army stops following me and decides to just stand there, forcing me to leave them behind to get slaughtered by the goblins. Also, one point I started my orb power attack thing, and it went right to a cut scene that was just long enough for my orb power to go away to make me a nice easy target for the big mean troll. doh.gif Managed to kill the troll and pretty much died right after making me lose all my fancy items and start over. The game does look rather nice, and some of the moves really make you feel like a bad-ass. cool.gif

The best thing about the Wii is that like, ten or so of my friends will be buying it when it comes out, so not only are there plenty of systems to play SSBB on, I won't have to buy a thing dry.gif I love living near a college biggrin.gif

I think I'm the only one out of all my friends that has an xbox 360. *mutter*
Veonira2006-08-18 19:13:13
Man, I wish my friends played video games sad.gif

Yes, I want Twilight Princess so bad.
Unknown2006-08-19 02:49:50
I wish the friend I have who does like Nintendo stuff didn't be so obesseive over it at times.
Callus2006-08-20 17:07:42
I'm going to eat God of War 2 when it gets released. I'm SO happy they didn't put it on the PS3.

*mumblestupidfreakishlyexpensivemonstermachinemumble*

If I ever go next-gen, all I have to say is:

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!1!!!11!!!!one!!
Daganev2006-08-20 17:11:41
Just saw the ff7 comercial on TV.... what have they done!?
Richter2006-08-20 23:22:19
You mean for Dirge of Cerberus? It's actually quite good, and has more of the "main" story in it than Advent Children did, I swear. It has quality cutscenes (Advent Children quality), fun gameplay, and has a lot of backstory in it (like when Turk Vincent is speaking with Lucretia and Hojo about their new son, Sephiroth).

Dirge of Cerberus is worth getting, 99 Night so far has been a slightly boring hack and slash, but I've not used more than one character, that water mage looks interesting.
Daganev2006-09-14 20:19:04
Now that all the rumors are over with..

Wii will be release November 19th for $250 in the US and $213 in Japan(right, like the exchange rate will stay the same).

Richter2006-09-14 22:22:06
Link? (though, I suppose I could do google news...)
