I agree....
And Jack, your avatar looks like someone who would have been in Trainspotting. Better yet Leo DeCaprio on herion
I'm flattered
Ildaudid2006-08-10 00:13:58
I thought you would be.

Allowing Ethereal to be flooded/tainted won't make it balanced.
Allowing Ethereal to be flooded/tainted, uber-buffing the Avatars and having them assist each other ... that'd be closer to balanced.

Actually, I just thought it should be changed. If Etherglom/Etherseren can't be floodable, at least allow us to break existing demesnes. I would prefer having flood/taint be used to break it rather than trueground.
It would be better to have flood and taint break it then trueground, otherwise anyone will be able to break demesnes, and that wouldn't be cool. When you forceflood/forcetaint, you could get a message like "You feel the magics of (demesner) release their hold of the surroundings, but the strength of the environment prevents further change" or something like that.

That would be another option. The idea was that it would be an upgrade to trueground that only mages or druids could use, and it would only work in EthSeren/EthGlom/Faethorn/Earth/Water. But yours probably makes a bit more sense. Hmm.

I think the fact that the Ladies jump to help is more than nice enough. Those Ladies are harsh. And Serenwilde has a hell of a lot of them. They're pretty much free guards that get stronger against Moon enemies.

And this is exactly what I plan on suggesting in my envoy mini-report.

They are not free nor harsh(they were surged remember?), and we create them slowly over an extended time. I'd much rather have what Nil has, 20 archdemons sitting at luciphage at all times.
Vix2006-08-10 01:18:07
Plus you guys hit them during the Waxing Gibbous when they're near their strongest.

You mean the two that go in and out, with the pair (I think) that he summons? 20 archdemons, right

Last I was praying for the corruption of my soul and yadda yadda on Nil there were 20 at him, yes, just sitting there, chillaxing.

They already said that on Bellators before I posted.
And Torath isn't that incompetent. He used Fury in Tsuki's log.

I'm not sure if fury was the right choice or not - it does disable all demesne effects for a minute, and since it's 100% cutting damage, it doesn't actually hurt all that much.
I'd love to see Athana doublefury though with power refresh

I vote for:
- allow breaking demesnes on Ethereal
- allow sporing/hermitting/empressing from Nil to Celestia and vice versa
- connect Nil and Celestia by a neutral third area that has gates to both cosmic nexii, and that can be traversed to from the ethereal plane
- buff avatars to supernal/demonlord strength
- allow transplanar prisms to be used to escape from the cosmic planes
- change angel/demon strength to drastically decrease during certain times of the RL day, and to not respawn without questing.
That would be a start to making things fair.

1) I quite like this idea, though perhaps quite crude.
2) That defies the whole idea of Lusternia's Planar system. Only Nexuses have enough strength to pierce through multiple planes sucessfully.
3) That's one of the advantages of paying an extra 1200 credits.

Let me just say that I do -not- want all those things elryn posted to come about, I like that the communes and cities are different, things should, if anything be MORE different then they are, but to point them out, in addition to others it shows that celestia does not equal the etherwilde, so you can't just say "change demenses, we'll all be the same then." For most Seren's celestia is a world away, and even water is out of reach most of the time, it's vastly differant when you look at the etherwilde.
Hrm what was my point.. embrace change, don't get rid of it.. celestians smell like stinky fish.. and.. don't change demenses

I agree that this would be a start to making things fair, if you also:
- cause nexus flux and ripple to passively web through shield
- buff angel/demon strength massively
- make angel/demons aggressive against all enemies
- add a cubix exit to the ethereal forests
- give our mages and guardians a 0p ability to instantly teleport to anyone in flood
- remove the pillars so that the Supernals can be placed in the same meld as the Pool
- buff the Lords of Tide to the level of the Hart Aspects and place them on Celestia in a separate section
Look, mom! I can be sarcastic too!
