Bashing

I was wondering if some of the people here could give me some advice, if they don't mind.

I have a level 34 Imperial Merian Celestine character, that goes by Erin.

I'm to be frank not good at all with programming, and know nothing about systems and the like so I do everything without. I tried installing Ecthlothons (Sorry bout sp) system and messed it up.

Anyway I bashed my way up from level 22 to level 34 in the Tornado Tidal Flats. I was wondering if I am stuck bashing in the Tidal Flats or if there is somewhere else I can bash, and gain lessons for mastery of rituals?

You should do the Supplicant quest in Celest, its good experience and gold. Just..dont hit them. Otherwise rockeaters in the mountains should be good, leading cows/pilgrims/sheep/scholars as well, or you can kill the cows and bring them to tanners or butchers.

I used to kill cows by the dozens. We had a young tracker who'd lasso every cow in the Basin and bring them to Glomdoring's commodity shop, where I would close the door and exterminate the things.

Its like four hits with my sickle and I have 14 INT, Merian'll be hitting that or higher without a doubt. You just have to chase em.

ohmy.gif I guess I'll have to double my efforts to lasso every cow in the Basin and bring them to the comfortable milking of Deb's Dairy. happy.gif

That's f-ing awesome Xenthos.

But uh yeah, if you manage to get a full run of scholars/pilgrims you can get some good money from it. Saw Everiine doing pilgrims yesterday I believe, kept coming back to my room and trying to take my pilgrims.
Gelo2006-08-09 06:03:50
I lasso all of em also, but I dont kill them because they tend to run away. I just lead them to Deb. He needs live cows smile.gif

But yeah.. I made a Celestine alt once and I learned just influence. I made it to level 55 without ever killing anything - and at that point I was still a novice so I just forgot everything and start all the lessons again about an hour before I graduate. tongue.gif

Its lame I know.. laugh.gif

Also, they might be a little tough, but if you have a reflector (from the Aquamancers), you can take on the leeches (sleep afflictions) and starsuckers (have some mending) on Water. Luckily Forren doesn't hunt there anymore I think, so it shouldn't be too bashed out. Karma and gold is not great, but you'll be gathering power for your nexus, which is. smile.gif

Thank you all for the advice.

I'll look into some of these quests and other things.

Thanks again!

You should do the Supplicant quest in Celest, its good experience and gold.

This is the best advise on here, the Supplicant is Wonderful for gold and experience, and only entails having basic skills, knowing the way around your own city, and being able to swim to the Isle of Light. You can easily get up to lvl 50 doing that quest from the moment you're kicked out of newton until you graduate from novice hood. Only Mag's newbie power quests are better experience wise, but they take a lot more effort and caution in killing the specters.

Heh... yeah, I used to bash out water like crazy.

Make SURE you set a reflex for insomnia. Also - use vitae.
Ekard2006-08-10 07:42:44
Also suplicants is crazy Karma.

I tried it myself not long ago and i was like WOW! Why i wasnt doing it when i was level 20-50 but instead i was runing around Balach Swamps and Glomdoring and killing pythons, turtles, alligators, oozes, bats, wasps, harpies and etc.

And good places to bash from level 20-50 (im not going to tell you where you will eb fine you have to go and check it itself what can you kill and for what you should come back later):

Tidal Flats
Balach Swamps
Glomdoring
Grey Moors
Mountains
Oleanvir Valley (Rocs aka shadow over your head)
Inner Sea
Sea of Despair and Spectre Island (Great White Shark, Sharks, Vampire Squid, Spectres)
Water Plane (Starsuckers, Manifestations aka sparkling wind - DO NOT ATTACK IT)
Earth Plane (Manifestations aka sparkling wind - DO NOT ATTACK IT)
Blasted Lands (Gravedigger aka sand on ground - ALWAYS GLANCE BEFORE YOU MOVE)
Skarch Desert

But before you attack PROBE and HELP CONSIDER is your friend!! (Damn i wish i know about this help file when i was newbie, it would save me from so many deaths).
In () on what you should look out, but in case ask on GNT, GT, CT if you are not sure about what something can afflict you.

Im not sure how you will handle those two new like: Carai Caroo, Veresavir Valley and this new snow area (I still need to go there).
Athalas2006-08-10 19:05:45
Snow valley would most likely be a bit hard for him, bloody aggressive cats and all. Carai caroo would be easy for him to do, as long as he has insomnia or has eaten kafe. Verasavir can be easy, but the things there will team.

With a 14 int trill, I just casted blast once, and stood there waiting for it to run back my way another couple of times.
Acrune2006-08-10 20:30:19
I chased them buggers all over the road. Was good exercize for Acrune's fishy legs ninja.gif
Sylphas2006-08-10 21:29:36
Snow valley is a bitch. Cats are harder than gorgos, for me at least. They do crazy bleeding if you don't have kingdom up; I was feeling the mana drain from clot, through sprite and drawdown, which is rather scary.
Ekard2006-08-11 07:25:52
I have to check this snow valley then.

And what is other are that was opened not long time ago?

Some cathedral or something or i just heard wrong?
silimaur2006-08-11 10:01:00
the presido opened and is an ok place to bash for level 70s i would guess..everything is aggro in the cathedral part and can hit quite hard if you walk into a room with about 5 of them, but if your careful it wouldnt be to difficult at level 82 i gained 1% clearing it..
