No one uses BCD these days for encoding numbers anyways. Too much of a pain to deal with the conversions, and I don't think it's had hardware support since sometime in the mid-eighties except maybe on embedded processors. Plus 9999 just doesn't have the same ring to it as 65535. *eyeshift*

Out of curiosity, why can't vials and other crafted items be imbued?

I know pipes can but I cant see why vials shouldent be able to be imbued. Maybe its because no divine likes vials?

Forged items can be imbued. I think what you're referring to is a bug that doesn't allow you to imbue/offer by number. So...you could IMBUE VIAL, but not IMBUE 43231
