So, I've got a mac G5 desktop, which is very nice, however at school it's annoying because I can only do most of my homework (ie: CS projects, papers, math homework, etc.) in my room! So I thought to myself, self, you should save up and buy a decent, yet somewhat cheap, laptop.

I'm seriously considering buying something that has windows, rather than a mac, however I am still very much attracted to the adorable macbooks.

So...I guess I'm looking for suggestions, because I don't know the first thing about what non-mac computers are good

Just put Linux on your laptop already. If you need any Wind'oh software, run Wine.

However to be helpful, most Sony laptops have built in cameras, but they aren't exactly cheap.

You don't have to buy a new mac lappy Apple refurbished is ze poor artists friend.

Anyhow... It really depends what all you're gonna use it for chica. the less you'll use it for the less you'll pay lol.




... and I so wish I had 18 grand and the justification to buy a fully loaded g5 -drool- No idea what I'd do with over 16GB memory and 2 500gb hard drives...
