I keep hearing established players who hate me anyway saying I do this.

And then I keep getting thanked by newbies who say that I'm the first friendly face that they've found in Lusternia.

Yes, even newbies who've been through guild orientation will tell me about how they've felt walked coldly through a checklist and shoved off to Newton as quickly as possible. The guilds tend to treat novices like commodities, and I treat them like human beings.

So what if Exarius is a flirt? That's more off-putting than role-playing a psycho axe-murder; or a dictatorial bureacrat; or a greedy peddler who'll take your eye-teeth if you don't know what constitutes a "fair price" in his mind?

And so what if Exarius is openly polygamous? You aren't required to like it any more than you're required to like open homosexuality (and plenty of people don't), but if you tried to browbeat a homosexual into hiding his nature on Lusternia, that would qualify as harassment.

You do realize that polygamy is a normal and accepted part of life in the Old Testament? Ever read the story of Jacob? Anyone who's freaked out by that part of my role-play better not pick up a Bible.

I play a controversial character, and I've accepted that that's going to come with a price. But enough is enough with these stupid cheap shots. It's not the newbies I freak out. It's you.

It'd be way more funny if you hadn't spent so much time harassing me and my ladies -- and goading others into it -- that I had to start insisting women not play their main characters as harem members, so they wouldn't have to put up with constant trash talk just to play the game.

Just ask Isluna how "funny" it all is.

Your jokes even have Nejii begging me OOC to stop talking with newbies. (Not that he's seen any proof I'm doing damage, but he's "heard"...)

If you two think harassment's such a good joke, I'm sure you'll understand if I start thinking issuing is a good joke as well.

But...wasn't it also 'normal ' that people had sexual relations with their family members in the bible? I don't think the bible is a very good example to be using....


Anyways, a belated weclome Minerva , and I hope you contiue to enjoy playing Lusternia. And don't let the bikcering and off-topicness on this thread scare ya away, most of us are pretty nice, really! It's just that a few people are too honest for their own good...

I actually have a friend who used to play an aslaran female in Serenwilde.

It's *very* possible things have changed since then, because it was quite a while ago.

And anyways, back to the conversation at hand- welcome, Minerva.

If its to any consolation I think your nice.

You can gripe about Everiine all you want, but after Isluna's player got really upset by being reminded she was in the harem, I cut it out. What Nejii does is his own business, I think in their conversations, Exarius came up once or twice, mostly related to the New Leaf. Even when Everiine and Exarius had their conversation, I thought it was going pretty well, though they didn't agree on life's philosophies. Of course, that all changed when I found myself suddenly defending me, the player, from OOC assaults right in the middle of it.

Here is a slightly updated version of my list that I post in most or all of the 'I'm new' threads:
