I dunno. I had just been watching in on Primetime last night, and they were going into enough detail about it. They'd pull the plastic lense out of the flash, so that when it flashed, it would just be a spark to ignite the stuff once it was mixed.

It has been proven that explosive decompression in planes don't happen. That is a movie myth. A small hole will be made a little larger, but nothing like an explosive decompression. (MythBusters did one on this for mroe accessable knowledge, but the FAA has many reports published to this end as well.)

I dont ever want to travel on planes frankly it scares the -censored- out of me.

So is anyone else tempted to go blow giant holes in their yard? Or is that just me? Not that I will, because I'm not stupid enough to screw with something that will take limbs off me if I jostle it, but the temptation is there.

The fact that this got the air time it did brings suspect to both of the motives of the governments evolved and the eptitude of global media.

Whether the terrorists succeeded in actually killing people or not is irrelevant at this point. Their mission, as always, was to create hysteria and suspicion in the western world and this is exactly what happened. Incidently this is the same strategy employed by certain Western governments to control their citizens and make it appear as if this expensive and relatively unyielding boogey war on terror has one iota of credibility left.

Personally, I always take these things skeptically and will not be surprised if in the future it is uncovered that many of these arrests and alerts are mere propoganda. If MI:5 actually saved lives here, kudos to them, but if they just did this as another measure of fear control then they can go FCK themselves as usual.

Not to mention if you did succeed, you'd probably be arrested in under a few hours and your entire family and all of your friends would be investigated as well

I don't think that has EVER been the mission of a terroist organization, save in the movies.

Terriorism is about little guys, controlling big guys through the harming of the people the big guys supposedly protect.

Just to use a mundane movie example. Can't kill Superman? Well then, threaten to kill Lois Lane.

Banning all liquids... god they're retarded. I mean, Jesus Christ. I'm surprising the terrorists haven't killed every single one of us yet, they'd have an easy enough time of it.

I hope one of them tries to sneak a bomb on by shoving it up his ass. That will make the airport really interesting.

Also, don't wear gel shoes to the airport

I'm waiting for another person to rig up a truck bomb and get caught, so they make a new law where we can't have liquids in your vehicle.
