Bashing grounds on prime

Magnagora really does has the upper hand in the way of bashing. For RP reasons, half of prime is unbashable for me because their denizens are "innocents". No Tosha, Aslarans, Dracnari, Trill, Lucidian, Merians, or priestesses (I think??) for me. Shallach is great for gold - however, I run the risk of being jumped (I usually am) every time I go there. Catacombs are great too, but it's the same thing - Magnagora pretty much controls it. If you're not cool with Magnagora, you're not going to survive well there.

Celest needs its own Catacomb-like place. I wish we had more neutral, non-sentient bashing areas.

You're the Champion. Tell them to shove it. If they insist, send them to Clotho for a cup of tea.

Yep, Celest's guards. Very fun bashing.

I think I should go and befriend Ixion, then no one will touch me tongue.gif

Other than that, damn your overpowered stats! Only a divine can kill you now angry.gif

Sounds like you all are missing at least one area.

I think he means the place with the sabre-tooth cats and mammoths. I've only tried bashing there with an Aquamancer a couple weeks ago, and the place is quite nice and rarely bashed out.

Actually, the deal with Shallach is that you don't hunt the ur'dead, and youget clearance from the ur'guard first. After that, you're generally okay. Unless you're a glommie, and then we kill you or chase you off anyways when we find you, but I think you're good on that count.
Diamondais2006-08-14 15:58:50
I only go when no ones in there. If someone comes in I gladly leave so they can get the experience, do it without even being asked to leave.

I didn't bash in Shallam-urine cathedral, but the priestesses look loaded, and there's a lot of them. Might want to hunt there. And no moral problems too, if anyone thinks they are "innocent", they are even more retarded than they look. Come on! They're even UNDEAD, f'sake.

They hit DAMN hard. I have troubles tanking two normal priestesses, and named mobs are just plain hurt.

Good! Hard hitters = lots of xp and gold.

Out of curiousity, has anyone tried to influence people at the Presido (or whatever it's called) or the other place next to it they just released?

Most people can't influence the undead.

Most people don't realise the priestesses are undead as well. They just look at the pretties and their brains turn off.

No, only starting at a certain level. I get about 5% exp in the catas in the time I got 2% there.

They're undead?

All that time building up a harem of embarrassingly easy priestesses, and I fail to notice that they're undead?

More neutral areas would be nice =D Or at least... each race needs to have their own "bashing" grounds... there isn't an elfen one yet ninja.gif Wonder if they'd fall under Celest's 'protection'... hmm and there's also dwarf, furrikin, human... a lot actually :S
As for the Grey Moors... I don't like that area, but I'd say they both look pretty neutralish from an outsider's point of view... just that the krokani protect the Taint in their castle and so they bring upon the wrath of the anti-taint city... so yeah, I really can't see Celest protecting the krokani instead and turning on the aslaran. And the only psycho aslaran I see is Surtami O_o everyone else is on guard duty. They're not -that- bad or amoral. Or am I missing something? Blargh, I just don't kill any sentient beings at all, cept gorgogs. And the hard candies. And other people.
Gelo2006-08-15 02:57:25
That was my mistake in Achaea. I went to be priest and I cant bash things there because I'm not supposed to bash innocent/good people while other guilds are hunting villages there. Same reason why I didnt join Celest because I know they will uphold the similar policy, steriotyped in celest=good, mag=bag thing.

Which is something I've suggested should be changed to promote high-end raiding/hunting. viscanti noblemen/random merian citizens/happy faelings(honestly not sure if glomdoring has loyals other then the skeletal council..) should stay at their present levels of toughness, but have their XP increase so all four prime nations become high-level hunting grounds for all enemies. biggrin.gif It would be the first perk in the whole mud for HAVING enemy status. cheer.gif

It would also be the first thing to encourage conflict and move it away from conflict quests, raiding prime wouldn't be as pointless (An argument Sham, and a few others have used in the past) if you can get some hunting in while you're doing it. wink.gif

Mevermind. I am tired and my brain is more stupid than normally.

EDIT: Because either nothing will change in terms of raiding incentives, or communes and cities will be raided non-stop.
