That's 125% karma. If you have a lot of suspects, you're looking at around 75 karma to remove a curse.. so that's just shy of the karma needed to remove 2 curses.
And, if you don't have a lot of suspects, you don't need the esteem to remove them anyway.
Care to try again?
Twenty daggers, not five. It takes me about 90 minutes to make one.

Whatever. Fine, i'm whinning. Oh, its so horrible. How dare I think that something doesn't need changing. I should agree with the mob, after all. If I did, then my 'whinning' would be considered just and right!
Meh. off.

I'm kind of confused now.
I also needed an excuse to use that smilie.

I thought that he meant he had 500% esteem. In which case that's only 125% karma. He didn't specify that he had 500% karma stocked up.

It might not be the easiest now, but AREAS ARE ADDED. You can't spot a problem now, say "Oh well, it's not bad yet, let it go" and then try to patch it later when things are more complicated. Fix them when they're simple, before people have decades to get used to something.
Shorlen2006-08-26 22:58:17
There is a new area with the same influence bashing as Tosha - mobs slightly harder than the normal monks who give a bit more gold, and about 25 of them, but nothing on the leve of the Tosha Masters there.

Well, it's improved in that we can break melds (finally). However.. now all of the planes are harder to raid.

Depends on how long the stun is. Has it been tested?

Isn't entanglement a bit worse for coordinating group moving?

Random stun will do the same, you'll still leave people behind.
Sylphas2006-08-27 02:06:24
If everyone is stunned the same length, movement won't be a problem. Entanglement is probably worse for that. But for actual combat, stun is much worse (unless it's a tiny tiny stun) because it stops you curing and healing, while entanglement does not.

Size affects stun in the opposite way that it affects writhe time. Granted, stun lengths are generally shorter overall, so it's easier to compensate for that.
Sylphas2006-08-27 02:18:51
Oh, true, I always forget that.

What you are misunderstanding, is everyone isn't stunned at once. Each person ticks on their own timer. It's not one big room stun. It's ONE person out of the 20 being stunned, then another one get's stunned in the middle his stun, then another right as the first guys stun ends, then you are stunned a few seconds later down the line. So it's not like a demesne where everyone gets hit at once, it's like a demesne where each person had their own tick of effects separate from everyone else.
Each time you move, you will always lose at least one person.

Yeah, that's one of the things that makes discretionary powers so annoying.

Its not that fast unless its a really long stun. Liveforest hits every 3 seconds or so(?)

One small note I'd like to make, back when Cookie men were great and I was leveling a couple of times a day. I was able to work up 2-3 100% imbued items in a few hours and maintain harmony.
Esteem is easy to get when you are focusing on that and not your experience.
EDIT: And now back to delivering pizzas

I initially wondered why Fallen was bitching like Narsrim. Then I saw this -
I just think its absolutely rediculous that you people are so obsessed with making everything boring by making sure any signs of unique are quickly squashed out of it like female arousal upon sighting Jack.
- and realized it to be profound sexual frustration, as evinced by his mockery of my astounding good looks. If you need any tips, buddy, don't hestitate to ask me. I think it's "rediculous" that someone as verbose and witty as yourself isn't scooping up women left, right and centre.

Actually, originally, it was going to be Guido, but since he was part of the argument, I thought it might be considered a personal attack, so I changed it to you at the last minute At least I think that's why I changed it. It could also be, a tiny bit, because I just wanted you involved in the thread to lighten it up a bit, since your mere presence inspires those around you to burst into laughter
Edit: Oh, and I blame my bitching on week-long insomnia, and being dragged into other people's drama IRL >.<
So, yeah, consider that an apology to the people I snapped at. Except Guido. He deserves it.

Now do you understand why we wanted liveforest changed?
Instead.. they just raised the other powers to the same annoying level.
