No it is not, since few warriors could kill me in or outside of a demesne as a mage, let alone get a behead without assault doing it.
Few warriors could kill you as a mage, in or out of a demesne, so they are balanced?
It is like Brad Pitt saying, 'I have no trouble picking up girls, what is the problem? Also, I had no trouble picking up guys when I was gay too.' Not everyone is as handsome as you, Geb!

Also with HONOURS FULL...is there a way this option could be toggled?
Granted there are more important things at hand, but I didn't want this to be overlooked. I strongly agree, since for some reason I'm just not a big fan of the honours full function.

#alias honours {honours full}

I'm aware of that, but I'd still like an in-game option.
Yes, it's petty, I know.
Unknown2006-08-14 05:04:02
There is an ingame option, just type an extra word when you honors someone

I'm going to go broke...and I want an enchanter's pentagram! I wish the whistles were a little more expensive, though *cough* Otherwise I'm in love with most of the lovely artis that were put out. Was even thinking the other day how wonderful it would be to have a mini post office cause I'm so lazy/(and want to avoid people) to walk from my manse to the city one.
Richter2006-08-14 05:51:32
Asked for newsroom and bank months ago. But, I won't complain, since we have them now, I'm to thrilled to complain.
Shears cost too much, but I'm sure tailors are happy about the arti.
The pet mail thing is going to be awesome.
And I now have a longer honors than Kaervas again!

The Dramatics enhancements to influencing (Vagabond, etc) don't do a thing for me...
They were helping me out.. Not sure how you didn't notice a difference. Try influencing something really hard to test it, like willowisps in faethorn.

Quettle takes 12 hits no matter what I do, and the other masters take 9 no matter what I do.

Yes, unfortunately geomancy staff is 25% cutting, and Rockslide is 75% blunt and 25% cutting. Joy and rapture! Do Aquamancers have any demesne skills that are full physical damage?
Abilities with partial blunt damage on them, like hailstorm and the staff. One in the demesne that knocks a person out of trees for damage, but that is rarely a consideration. Considering the fact that the Aqua demesne does very little damage anyhow on its own and most of an Aqua’s damage is from his staff, the partial blocks on the Aqua staff is a big boon for the person who possesses the Absorption Rune.

Hi, cudgel (50% cutting, 50% blunt)? Swoop (100% cutting)? Thornlash (100% cutting)? Fury (100% cutting)? Hush, you.

ANNOUNCE NEWS #620
Date: 8/14/2006 at 0:07
From: Estarra, the Eternal
To : Everyone
Subj: Great Rune of Absorption
There was a misunderstanding on how this should work. It imbues you with
a 15% chance of abosorbing all damage.
Penned by My hand on the 17th of Tzarin, in the year 154 CE.
Hrm, so does that mean that there's 15% chance to avoid ANY attack, no matter the type, and that it works on mobs too?

15% chance to shrug 100% of a physical damage source. All other effects still happen.

Ah, kay. Thought they changed it to all damagetypes with the latest announce.

Hey I can still complain just as much as you can, geomancer demesnes are only good because of their damage. ( I don't know about blacktalon, actually, never fight them )
Also boulderblast is 50% physical damage. But anyways, the point is it doesn't just affect warriors.

I hate them so much, so very, very much. First, they stop responding to our summons, now they taunt us with their evil in faethorn! CURSE YOU, WILLOWISP!
That aside, it seems I suddenly have more artifacts to buy >.>

It just affects warriors the most, since we don't get non-physical damage without buying some expensive runes.
I guess it's not such a big deal. Every smart warrior who wanted to damage kill either invested in several thousand credits worth of runes or gave up outright months ago, so having these things around isn't a tremendous blow to the archetype... it just reinforces some unfortunate realities that were already firmly in place.
Veonira2006-08-14 16:24:09
Yeah, it's also good to remember not everyone is going to buy the absorption rune. I know as much as I'd -love- to have it, I could never afford to buy it.
