Yeah, it's also good to remember not everyone is going to buy the absorption rune. I know as much as I'd -love- to have it, I could never afford to buy it.

Granted. Though it'll be more popular now that people know that it's not just helpful against warriors, nobody that I could actually beat in the past is going to have this thing. So again... no real change.

Except that now I'm trying to work out why I'm not hopping guilds or just dropping outright.

Because the guild is better than a collection of skill dammit!

If the absorption rune absorbs a warrior hit, it should still cause deepwounds. If it doesn't, that should be changed.
Soll2006-08-14 16:56:36
I expect it does, but it just doesn't do any health damage.

Correct. Afflictions and wounds still go through as normal.

Wonder how those poisoner gloves work. Do they let you extract twice from a corpse or fill the vial with double amount?
Ildaudid2006-08-14 23:39:24
How much bleeding do the runes do? Is it % based? or is it a flat number?

I can give an answer with as much authority as a person with one can possess... I don't know. All I can say is that I do not notice a significant difference in the bleeding I give to myself when I conducted my tests. Considering the fact that the runes are relatively inexpensive, I did not expect it to be a significant boost anyhow.
Ildaudid2006-08-15 00:02:46
You think they are worth it Geb?

If 200 credits per weapon is inexpesive, sure!

I am asking him because he is a PB not a BM.... and PB's dont seem to bleed anyone for censor.gif... I amputated Haiden's legs 3 times in a fight and his bleeding was nothing. That is why I am asking his opinion... If I were a BM with pinleg/rend/foot afflicts... It would be a no brainer... get it... stack some more blood loss... But it seems that a druid bleeds more with lash than a PB can with amputate leg... So that is why I am asking his opinion.

No, right now I do not think the change is significant enough to be worth it for a PB. I don't know about other warrior specialties though.

I guess the word relative is lost on you. I pointed out that the rune is relatively inexpensive compared to some other combat artifacts.

You see more of a difference in the bleeding that +5 to each stat?

Ildaudid2006-08-15 00:36:47
Ok thanks... I think I will work towards elemental runes for now then... with the absorption rune in play... may as well focus on having a little damage go through if my main damage doesnt. Thanks for the input Geb. smile.gif

Those orbs of darkness - does it make drawdown, nightkiss, spiritbond moon, and spiritbond night work no matter what? Except maybe the Full and New Moons of course.

I would think its the same as bring shadows or moonlight into a room.

Nightkiss doesn't work based on the time of day, not the status of the room, as far as I can tell.
Tsuki2006-08-15 04:20:38
You can only spiritbond to moon/night or Drawdown/whatever-the-Night-equiv-is at night, is what she meant.

Yes, you can moonburst at any time of day, but only if you used Drawdown during the night that wasn't a New Moon.

I'd hope it works as Vix thinks. Maybe it's just for pretty environment, though? tongue.gif
Daganev2006-08-15 04:27:51
Wow, My post made no sense... I ment to say..

Nightkiss only works based on the time of day, not the status of the room. I remember thinking that since the room I was in was night it would work even though time said it was day, and it didn't.

So what's the point of having them? Are they just for RP?
