I'm fairly sure warriors take all of their offence with them wherever they are.

Small exception of trackers, but yeah.

Ah, good point. Except tracker traps!

See. No one ever talks about the awesome twirl staff of us. ._. I want a usefull twirl staff, damit. And my demesne should do something else than one damageattack that's going to be completely blocked 15% of the time against anyone who has a rune.

Can I take this moment to plug a hexes downgrade and laugh at all the people who complain about Moondancers lacking an offense?

Somehow I knew you'd pick the cheap class rather than telep.

Also.. try this on for size.

Telepathy is far too simple - even though I adore/ it, and feel it is far superior to Telekinesis. Nonetheless, I switched. Telepathy just requires the use of three/four aliases over and over to kill someone in your demesne. Also, it has zero use outside of combat. Telepathy is the cheap one, not Telekinesis. I was doing more damage than my staff does to health, across all three stats. I am not a good combatant, but it sure seemed like it as a Telepath.

Yea, just give us Evileye instead! You know, so we can deadeyes (doublewhammy) for NO power like the other realms, without having to draw first so you can spam it!

That was sarcasm, just pointing out how Hexes isn't nearly as powerful as Evileye, which is what it is based on.

The other realms had no power. I mean, by that standard, absolve shouldn't cost any either.

Also, I've heard more comparisons to Curses. Draw + throw has the same eq as a standard curse. Throwing pre-drawn hexes has the same eq as swiftcurse. They do it all without blackout and less mobile room traps. (which ate up an entire third skillset).

Celestines aren't as good as they look on paper, but I think you gave them up too quickly. They're pretty good once you figure out how to use them (significantly different from a wiccan).

While I applaud the fact that you're staying "in house," I think you'll find that demesne combat is b-o-r-i-n-g. That's why I left, mainly. But, if you need any tips, let me know.

Maybe I'm masochistic but I love demesnes for the most part. Well, I liked them a lot more when I had summon when people raided villages (before the perma-distort). Also, before they nerfed the room size to about 25 rooms. Can't forget those protection scrolls either... Regardless, I still like them because I'm too lazy to really make any curing system.

However, I'd have to say demesnes were a lot more fun at the beginning of the game. I never got tired of summoning people into guards while I was hiding in Angkrag with a full demesne in just my room. Mainly because I was able to "kill" people and get praise and favours even though I couldn't cure or even fight at all 1vs1. Even though they nerfed demesnes I still think they're fun for people who don't want to get into a lot of real intense conflict. Just gives those on Nexus some way to have a real tangible effect on battles and feel like a fighter.

I actually really like demesnes too, but it does take a minute to set up our offense, which can be annoying when raiding.
Soll2006-08-14 21:11:08
I love demesnes. smile.gif

Much love for Demesnes. wub.gif

What was your max health in this case?

You really need to learn what you are talking about. Shamans also had Vodun. Ever heard of obliterate? Aeon/concussion back to back? Curses was relatively weak compared to evil eye because Vodun was retaraaaaaarded.
