Flying a geo demesne? laugh.gif

Just fly and land before the first message.

Uhm...

Sip love or Try to make them bleed. Arm artery, leg artery, go for the behead or at least try to scalp them. A warrior can kill a Geomancer while chasm.

Not necessarily if they are decently tanky.

P.S. Corinthian, stop trolling the Imperian forums, specifically in the "Vote Imperian" thread.

I'm surprised neither hunger nor geo-demesne sip penalty has been mentioned yet.

I mentioned hunger earlier. And the sippenalty...I rarely see it hit at all, plus it's blocked by protection like hunger.

Only afflictions that stop chasm are love and peace.

Why are you talking about protection as if it's so good? You can strip it quite easily.

They can dissolve it and attack at the same time since it uses balance and most attacks use equilibrium. Protection only protects you if you are not with the Mage.

The problem with the Barrier/chasm trick is...it takes 24seconds atleast to regain the power from barrier before you can even setoff chasm. So you have a total of 36seconds to disrupt, kill, or correctly afflict the geomancer.

Narsrim2006-08-15 01:57:19
The single most powerful demesne effect period is poison gas. Don't even start.

Forren took 100 damage from it in a log he posted....and it went to ego! Damn you, forcefield! *shakefist*

blink.gif

Who cares about damage? It's the 6+ seconds of unconsciousness from starving that do you in.

How long does it take to happen? I NEVER had anyone fall unconsciousness in my demesne..
Soll2006-08-15 09:33:06
Ashteru, it's the fact that if you spend ~3 minutes in that demesne without protection, you're screwed utterly. You have to look past the initial 'failings' and look at the insaneness it offers when it hits its goal of making someone starving.
Ashteru2006-08-15 09:42:45
You are talking about 3+ minutes? blink.gif The heck, that's longer than any fight in a demesne lasts, besides villages. And in villages, they can just run into a room of their own and put up protection again, for the rare case someone strips it.
It's like dominate, the potential is there. It will never live up to it though.

Unless I get the pun wrong, it's Trigun-related.
Archthron2006-08-15 16:13:11
I don't see any puns. I see 'love and peace' being the solution to chasm. It has no need for a pun.
Shiri2006-08-15 16:18:21
It's kind of a Trigun reference in that Trigun used that sort of thing as humour, but it doesn't need to be. tongue.gif

... that's even funnier to me now that I remember you aren't an anime fan, and thus have not seen Trigun (which you would hate anyway), and thus were not making an intentional reference.

So, in other words, nevermind, but love and peace does indeed solve everything biggrin.gif
