Yet another potential solution is to have moonbeam not be followable. You could still moonbeam past greatpents, but you couldn't moonbeam entire GROUPS past greatpents.
That'd make me sad, because then Moonbeam wouldn't be great at getting stuck people out of mansetraps (public access manses with open key-sigiled doors, with monoliths inside).
I don't know how much it would address the problem either, since you can moonbeam in, start a moonbeam out the second you get in, nullify the pentagramer, gust the pentagramer, and be out in exactly six seconds. Nothing stops a moonbeam from finishing except being moved, not even sleep.

What are the specs on Moonbeam, anyway? Can you move or do anything after you start it? If the target moves while the moonbeam is waiting to go through, does it immediately cancel, or does the beamer not know if the target is still there until resolution? Can you initiate another moonbeam while the first is waiting to go through?

I propose the following solution:
Remove Greatpentagram.
Problem solved!
It should instead last like 1 minute instead of 5 (or whatever it is, don't know the exact duration), so that with transcendent discipline you only recover just barely 7 power by the time it fades. This would bring it in line with Serpent.

1. You cannot physically move out of the room you are in, you may however perform other actions.
2. It does not immediately cancel, the beamer has to wait for it to complete it's duration before they know if their target moved or not.
3. If you initiate another Moonbeam, it cancels the first, and resets the timer so to speak.

The thing is that moonbeam pretty much unavoidably goes around greatpentagram. If you moonbeam to the person holding the greatpent, they either have to move to stop it (dropping the greatpent) or it goes through and you're now inside the greatpent.
Something should stop moonbeam.
Something already does. The same argument could be made about rad in a barriered/greaterpent'd room.
Ild wins this thread.
Edit: As I'm posting, guess who decides to show his brotherly love.
Melan's PM: "I see your punk moonbeam ass on the forums! oh yeah! nerf!"
To Melan: You still suck for going to celest, but yes you are awesome. Oh, and nerf Melan unless he provides me with nephews and nieces

I know a solution!
Give us wisp back!
And go try get someone else nerfed, you bastards. Like the celestines! Overpowered mofos.

Moonbeam is free and does not take balance or eq. If there is a monolith in the target room, it takes 12 seconds, otherwise, it takes 6 seconds. After that time, it teleports you if the target hasn't moved, no matter what - no afflictions or actions stop it, not even sleep.

Sitting around for twelve seconds is a pretty big downside if you ask me.

Especially when it doesn't work
