Ahh my bad then.
Jigan2006-08-18 08:53:55
Heh, no worries.
Just got my hopes up, even after working to try and bring the Shiniest of all Divine back up to full power. All those poor cows. Had the animals lovers of Celest not too pleased with me that day.

Ok, question about Morgfyre in his current form.
His description makes him sound rather amorphious blob, but the event and his avatar has him as a snake. Which one is it?

In the event post, it suggests his public form is a lesser avatar of the immense being he really is. I have to wonder if this being has a true form, akin to Nyraletolep or something akin to it.
I think Morgfyre would love to fly in Aetherspace and take out some of those beings in that realm.
One thing I was wondering was, since his fulcrux was astral, that people in his fulcrux would end up going insane like on the real astral plane, but he confirmed it's only K-lus presence that causes Astral insanity. (Too bad, considering the being is somewhat schizoid it might make sense for him).

Well, then let me ask this.
Is his snake form ethereal and changing like the night sky with whispers all around it?
Like in princess monoke? Or is that a different form?

Who knows. Legends of Serpents are archetypical and have been around since the dawn of mankind, so it goes back a lot farther than recent movies and literature.
Serpent is where the archetypes of Dragons came from in mythology. I think Estarra is tapping into more ancient works.

When we first saw Him, He reminded me of the Mayan God Cama-Zotz.
edit: From one of the descriptions given in the Silverwing series.

Apparently you havn't seen princess monoke, as there is no serpent in that movie
Here let me show you what I mean...
The antlers, and sparkley toothpaste body.
I.e. ethereal but has a distinct body shape.
or this
Or is it more just like his actual description and none of the snake thingy.

Er, look at his avatar again.....
While it's really up to Morgfyre to unfold who he is, I will say that he was never described as a serpent or snake. I think the poster of this thread took literary license with that description. At most, there was a metaphor of some of his limbs being coiled and serpent-like, but sometimes you guys really take us by surprise with the sudden and completely off-base directions you go!

Oh, thats a tentacle, not a snake... so small!
Well my question still stands. His description is completely void of shape. Bright Star eyes, thousands of voices, stary "form"
But his avatar and sig now, are both tenticles and "solid"

Kinda reminded me of a snake form but it was said somewhere that it wasnt his true form. Think Daganevs just trying to get a good mental image of the guy.
Daganev2006-08-18 17:19:58
AHA! Found him!
And apparently, the lyreth tentacle love scene is not from anime, but rather a very very old bizzare tradition.

Nice pictures! Damn I look hot smooching Lyreth!
As for what Morg really looks like, that's up to you to decide!

So, we have a deity based off the Chultuz Mythos or whatever the hell Lovecraft wrote, now?
Badass.
Badass.

Yeah, I messed up. I'm reading the top entry with the log and at the time I thought the creature was a literal serpent, and I used that term, thus my arguments with daganev. The fact that his symbol is also an oroborus made me think he was a literal serpent after the fact, which resulted in my statement here.
(Gotta give me a break, I try to go to bed around or before 9PM and I had a 4:30 AM wake-up call, so that was very late by my standards. I was just glad I could see it ).

Age is everyone's worst enemy. ONE DAY WE WILL CONQUER!
Un-hijack: I can't really imagine Morgfyre as the Quezalcoatl type.. He has nothing to do with lightning. Sheesh.
Diamondais2006-08-18 19:10:06
Hes forever in my mind shaped like a snake, used that picture cause hes eating someone.

Dunno if you've noticed, but a large part of the mythos of Lusternia is based on Lovecraft.
