We were actually trying to strategize about it, but when all the Celestians showed up and were about to just start wailing away at her, we decided that we didn't have time, and that our best chance was to just attack with acquitio up and spam "get eye" while doing so

Yarr.. we were seconds away from slaying all the few Mags/Celests/Glooms in the room and taking the avatar ourselves.. but things worked out differently in the end.

1.Hajamin really did die in the void, and that mini-soulless whats-his-name just was impersonating him
2.Hajamin is still in the void, and that mini-fain thing was just impersonating him.
3 and 4.Hajamin was mostly killed/devoured/destroyed by the mini-monster while in the void, and somehow they were merged and were both in that orb, and the mini-dude broke out of Hajaboo (either after taking over him, or he was always taken over and just sorta lurking inside controlling him)
I'm sure there are things we can't even think of which might be possible as well.
Certainly an interesting, and not quite completed event.
