Even though I lost 58% of 73 to people springing the damn trap, this was an awesome event. I loved the suspense leading up to the race for the Eye, and everyone running around trying to get it first. Much more fun than anything similar basin-wide, because then it loses the tension created by the small area; it's hard to hurry and find something when you have to search the entire basin for things. The trap was a nice touch, even though it did suck to burn through power and experience.

There was actually an easy way to avoid getting killed by the trap, though I guess it would have taken a bit of experimentation to figure it out. As a general rule, we won't build death traps that have no solution!

Is that what the wheels and gears and stuff were for?
Isn't this somehow related to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets? After all I can imagine Voldemort as Fain and that giant snake as Hajamin/Morgfyre
