Before I close this thread for outliving its usefulness and turning slowly into one way or another to insult each other, I will say this. If a buyer pays what a seller asks than the value is set right or to low. If not then the seller will adjust accordingly. If you don't like what they charge don't buy, it is that simple.

Keep in mind that in actual fact essence does have a value that is clear and never fluctuates. 1 essence = 1 gold. The ease of which it is to attain something does not change the fact that 30,000 gold is only = 30,000 essence. Getting double that in essence for 30,000 gold sounds like a reasonably good deal to me.
