Well, I raised Marani in Shallamurine, and got the bright idea that I would try to solo her.

It took about two deaths to figure out her afflictions and the messages (most of which are hidden).

I got her within 10% for sure of being dead one of the many times I tried, but died before I could seal the deal.
Ten (twenty? I lost count) deaths later, I'm still working on it.

I suppose I'd like to say thank you. For one who enjoys the thrill of a challenge, this is extraordinarily fun, albiet insanely frustrating.

Not really. Beckon doesn't work off balance or EQ.

The most likely answer for whomever altered you was to prevent you from swearing in a shout again for a short time (if you check the helpfile, you should be only 1 away) without completely muting you.

Though for the record, we tend to give a verbal warning to anyone we catch swearing or being overly lewd in a shout. The rule is 13 - so younger children can and will play.

Not to mention, you should have had plenty of time to come up with a better insult. Marani is hardcore, especially if you are trying to take her down alone.

Actually, Bitch means (for those who don't know) a female dog, but yeah, kinda insulting if you call a woman that. Sometimes a lot of people think that some words are not worth mentioning and doing so will get you into trouble, it's just how you guys say it and the one being told how they interpret it.

I wasn't even aware that word had anything to do with your roleplay.

There's another meaning to the word "Beeyatch."

Beeyatch--1. A female dog
2. A mean, angry woman.

So if by calling a woman a "beeyatch" and it being y'know true that she is, infact, a mean, angry woman than you're only telling the truth. But meh.
